Freaking Out

I took an EPT test at a little over 4am yesterday and a few minutes later there was a very faint line. At first I thought it was negative untill I re checked it. Then I took another one almost at 5pma nd it was negative. Wtf?? Has this happened to anyone before? and if so what was the outcome?. If it turns out to be chemical or eptopic then yea it would suck and I would be devasted but it would not be too bad for my situation right now. I also have been haveing some brown discharge for the past few days and what may be symptoms come and go. Please be nice as you can. Im a bit scared/nervous considering my son is only 3 months 1 week and 4 days old.

the same thing happen to me. One light line that you could barely see and then a negative. I finally got a positive a week later and indeed i was pregnant.

You may have waited too long to read the results in which case the first test really wasn't positive...or it could be what one of the other ladies suggested.  You need to wait and take a test with first morning urine.  Make sure you follow the directions for how long to leave it in the urine stream or cup (whatever kind of test it is) and how long to wait for results.  You should never read a test after the results time.

I would definitely either call a doc and have a blood test done or I would wait and take another one in a few days with FMU Good luck!

The first test could have been an evap line, or it could have been a pos and the 2nd test could have been a false neg (maybe because you took it at 5pm your urine was diluted and there wasn't enough hormone to make it show pos?? especially if the first was such a faint line, you could still be very early).
I would buy a digital test and test with FMU. That way there is no mistaking the result. And FMU is supposed to have the highest amounts of hormones in it. If you can't test with FMU for some reason, then make sure you go at least 3-4 hours without peeing before testing, and don't drink a ton of fluid.
