Advise about breast pumps

This might not be a cuestión for this forum but since many of you are moms I will give it a try.
I am now 38 weeks and on the last minute shopping; i will be on maternity leave for 12 weeks and want to breast feed my little princess. What breast pump would you recomend? I do know that I want an electric one and would love if it is fast and not so laud as I will be also pumping from the office. This is expensive and cannot be returned so I want to make sure I buy the right one.
Thanks a lot for your input,

Lisbeth

You can rent a pump from the hospital, in most places.  It's cheaper than buying.  :)

I also have the medela double pump which is not too loud but I was also given the deluxe medela single electric handheld portable pump which is yellow in color I found this was loud but when at home and I had stuff to do around the house i could walk around with it and was not tied to one spot.  I loved both of them. medela is the best.  Also while in the hospital I got to use the Ameda hospital grade pump which was fantastic so I believe that is a great brand too but who can affford a hospital grade pump? Ameda home pumps also have a good reputation

Medela was my choice also.  I had their smaller one and then got their larger one.  There are parts for it (such as larger breast cones if the ones they have don't seem very comfortable) at baby supplies stores like Babies R Us.

Medela double pump. I have the one in the back pack. Couldn't be better! Have had it through 3 pregnancies almost 4! Also, their customer service is THE BEST!
