Blended Family

Wondering how many women on here are in a blended family? I am 37 and 14weeks pregnant. I have a 16 & 13 year old, and my husband has a 4 & 3 year old. I am full of anxiety on letting the kids know about the baby.  I am concerned on how our new baby will affect my relationship with my teenager kids. They have already been through a divorce, move, and new family. I am also terrified of how my family and friends will react. I am so stressed out...

Don't worry, what can everyone expect ur married again now and if u guys want to have a baby together then so be it.  That's what marriage is all about building a life together and raising a family.  My mom has been telling me to have a baby with my husband since we first got married and I have an 8 yr old from a previous relationship.  My son calls my husband daddy, so we don't really feel as though my family is blended, but it is.  Now we're having our baby boy and everyone is excited for us.  Ur family will be excited for u guys too, and if they aren't then oh well.  It's u and ur hubbys life y'all r building together.

I have a 14yr old from a previous marriage and my husband has a 15yr old and an 11yr old from his prior marriage, We told everyone after 12 wks.  The kids were ecstatic that we were having a baby!!  Then when we found out it was a boy they all were even happier!!  Our family and friends have taken the news well and have been supportive.  There was a little hesitation since we are "older", but over all its your life and its your choice, the kids, family and friends will get over it!!  But it is nerve racking, because you want everyone to be as happy as you.  Take a breath and tell everyone when your ready!!  Try not to worry about reactions now, take it as they come. Good luck!! :-)
