Donor Eggs

Hey everyone, I have a question.. Do any of you that have done donor egg.  Did you all choose women that have been successful before or did you choose women that have never donated and you got pregnant..  We are kind of scared to choose someone that has never donated .. We do have somone in mind ,. , She is 25 , but first time ever donated...  Were a day late , and a dolloar short on the donor we really wanted.. Found out today she does not want to donated anymore...:(  Mary

Our donor did donate before and produced successful pregnancies, she is 26 years old.

I am now waiting to transfer two frozen blast in the next couple of weeks.  I am hoping this finally will bring us our BFP!

Globetrot is right choosing the right donor can be a challenge, but you will know the right one when you see it.  Good luck to you!

We had a failed cycle, the donor had donated before and had retrieved over 30 eggs.  However, with us, her body did not respond to meds and the cycle was canceled.  She was 29 and her age may have played a part.

Ultimately- we chose a 24 year old.  She had not donated before but she did have a child.  I am currently pregnant with twins- the blasts were very strong and one of the eggs split and they will be identical.  We only have one frozen.

Looking for the right donor is a bit of a challenge.  Has she had children?  Best wishes to you!

I choose someone who was a first time donor.  Let me know if you have questions.
How's the adoption thing going? Are you working on both?
