FSH level

Just before we moved from Regina, I had my CD3 FSH done.  Somehow the results were not forwarded to my OB here, so I just called my old OB.  The number is 8.3.  From what I can see on line, anything under 10 is considered normal...am I correct?  I hope that number means all is well.  I don't see my new OB again until the 16th.  What do you all think?

Thanks as always.

Amanda

My fsh was 7.5 and my ob said that it was great.  Anything below 10 is good.

I will turn 41 on December 30th and I will be induced on December 29th, wow two more days.  No IVF, I conceived him with 1 round of Clomid and was put on Progrestone for 12 weeks after I found out I was pregnant.  I did have 4 prior miscarriages, but was not going to give up.  I will have my bundle in my arms in two more days, I'm praying he is healthy and delivery goes well.  I will keep you all posted.

Congratulations!  If I may ask, are you above 40 years old? And did undergo IVF?  Thanks

Your FSH can change throughout your cycle.  That number is awesome.  My numbers was very high when I conceived Gavin.  It was 16.5 and here I am also 36 weeks pregnant.  So if it get's a little high you can still get pregnant.

HI Amanda,
I know for sure 8.6 is good.
I had a 10.5 last year and it was considered high end of normal, but still within Fertilty range  and then in June I had a 7.6, ( first and only try at a fertility clinic) RE really liked that number.  One month ago it was 8.1 Obgyn says its a good number ( no where near menopause ) - she doesnt know about my ttc.  I dont want the lecture about age unless I get a BFP.
As you can see it changes from month to month so yours could get even lower on any gven month - but its good for ttc now.

It can vary a lot, so will have to be repeated.  One month it can be different than the next.
