Family Over Reacting

Does anyone else find their families going over board with keeping you form doing things? My family is getting on my nerves. They keep telling stuff like you aren't going to be able to do that, you can't do this. I'm so tired of it. I'M PREGNANT that doesn't mean I'm incapable of doing things. I keep reminding them of this but they keep on. They keep telling me to stop lifting things that are not even heavy, but do they offer to help? NO! I know my limit on what I can lift and what I can't. I don't pick up anything over 5lbs and I lift with my legs. I was an EMT A few years ago and I've learned the proper way to lift. They also keep giving me a hard time about moving up stairs. HELLO, I live up stairs now. What difference does it make? They act like I should be on bed rest. I know my limitations. Sorry Just venting a little.

Be happy u have family like that. My babys daddy doesnt want to be involved and on top of that, im out here in vegas by myself with my two kids and no family. Every time my mom visits us from florida, shes always pushing me to eat a lot more than I do lol it gets aggravating but I do miss it when shes not here. =) good luck to you =)

It's fine to vent! I totally understand! I find it frustrating too. I drop anything everyone jumps to pick it up. I'm not allowed to move things either etc. Now I just wait til I'm on my own and get on with what I want to do! Within reason of course :)

Don't let it bother you. Thank them for being concerned and for loving you and continue to do what you are comfortable with as long as your doctor approves. You'll learn with age to let little things go and to understand that ur family just wants you and baby to be safe. :)
