Pregnant and 45

I am yes 45...I suspect I'm pregnant. I was married 20 years have 5 wonderful kids. Couldn't take ex's abuse n left. Been a rough life. Much better now. My boyfriend is younger, has asked me to marry him. I went thru almost 3 years of trying to get divorced. He is a monster. The feeling of being free is wonderful" my kids adore my boyfriend n he loves us all. What I waswondering iI'd anyone out there that had experienced 45 n pregnant? We took precautions.... I love my kids...I am excited but scared.

I really want to thank you for your replys! I will make appt tomorrow! I also have lupus and I had a huge flare up admist all the stress 3 years ago....I am worried. Gosh I think I am about 2 months! And congrats! I so hope it goes perfect! It is wonderful laughing again...isn't it! Thank you again!

my story is very similar. left ex after 23 years because of abuse 3 girls 22, 16 &14 remet first boyfriend fell in love remarried tried to get pregnant from 41 -43 tumors miscarriages, gave up. now suddenly 46 and naturally 8 weeks preg!  totally taken off guard...  nice to meet you and thank you for sharing

Petra, so glad you've reached out here. Thanks for everything that you shared - sound like you've been through a lot. I am not a medical professional but I am a mom (like you) who cares! I was born when my own mom was 43.  Many more women are having children in their 40's and 50's these days, but you'll definitely need to see your doctor soon and share your concerns with him/her. Also, there are really good pregnancy resources available out there and I can make some suggestions if you're interested. Good to know you're in a safe relationship. Hugs and prayers to you and your kiddos and please keep us posted.
