Negative HPT but still feel pregnant

Hi I`m 38 and don`t have any children. I have have prenancy symptoms: headaches, nausea but no sıckness, lower abdomınal crampıng and a pullıng sensatıon, bloating, lower back pain, aversions to some smells and Im SO tıred and moody.  I feel lıke I haven`t slept when I wake up.  In fact I feel lıke I do when I`m on my perıod! My perıod ın December was 4 days early but I put thıs down to flyıng back to the UK.  I would have been ovulatıng at the tıme I came home around the 3rd Jan.  My boyfrıend and I use condoms but ıt slıpped off on one of the days between the 3-6 Jan.  a few days later I started wıth the crampıng and back ache.  I got me perıod on tıme but ıt was lıghter than normal on the 3rd day (usually have a 28 day cycle and 3 day perıod).  When I came back from UK I also had a cold.  I have been pregnant before last year and also had what appeared to be a perıod but that tıme was a lıttle heavıer than normal.  I use a salıva ovulatıon test whıch has been showıng a fernıng pattern every day ,whıch means ıts detectıng estrogen, for the last 2 - 3 weeks but when I`ve tested both tımes where negatıve, the last one beıng thıs mornıng.  I have an appoıntment wıth a gynocologıst ın a weeks tıme but the waıt ıs kıllıng me.  The headaches and backache are not quıte as paınfull as before but I can stıll feel somethıng ın my lower abdomen.  Could I be pregnant? but ıf I`m not pregnant then what else could ıt be?  anyone got any ıdeas please I would love to be a mummy xx

Yeah, as Pam said, it doesn't sound like your pregnant.  I have abdominal cramping and that is linked to the fact that I have fibroids.  But there are so many things that could be going on and seeing what your gyno has to say is your best bet.  I saw a friend last night that I hadn't seen in a while.  Her and her DH have a 2 year old girl.  Several months ago she thought she was pregnant again as she had all the symptoms, including  a missed AF.  Her belly bloated and everything, she was convinced she was pregnant.  I can't remember the name of what she had, but it was easily treated and she is fine now (and ttc again).  Good luck to you!

From what you've said, and your negative HPTs, I would say you are not pregnant.  But, a blood test would be the best accurate indicator.  There could be many things going on...but, it's probably a mix  between your body changing and your menstral cycles becoming a little more irregular...I'm not mentioning perimenopause is the culprit, but it could be the very early signs of this.  As we age, our cycles often become irregular, longer/shorter with more aches and pain...symptoms that mimic pregnancy are huge and seem to be more prominant.  See what your OB says, but I do wish you luck in TTC!!
