Debbie, you of all people know how impatient I am...lol.
He will come when he is good and ready, let him bake for a little while longer. Don't rush that little man...
Shopping always helped me pass the time, although you are right....you probably should be sleeping as much as you possibly can....you'll miss it in about 4 weeks...lol.
Give your DH this idea....My oldest sister warned me that my last two weeks were going to be the longest. SO, she bought 14 presents...just little baby or mommy things and wrapped each one. She sent the bag of gifts with me and told me to open one per day. She actually put some in there for my DH and with my second baby, put things in there for big sister. It sounds funny, but it made all of us look forward to the fun, sometimes querky (sp?) things she put in there. It's something that I actually do for all of my expecting girlfriends now to help them pass the time....Maybe have your DH read this=)
A little retail therapy after my appointment definately helped...lol. I bought Ryder a couple of cute little outfits. This child has more clothes then I do now..ha! I also scheduled a prenatal massage for Wed. I decided I am going to pamper myself a little these next few weeks. It's all for the best anyway....this weeks prenatal class is something to do with Labour Rehearsal....it'll be interesting to see how that goes...lol. I wish there was a way to predict for certain when he would be here...I think that's the hard part for me is the uncertainty....that's just my personality I guess. I like to KNOW things..ha. I am so grateful everything looks good and he is healthy, that is all I wanted. And I am ok if it turns into a C-section, whatever is best for him, but am glad to know that so far it looks like a vaginal birth will be fine. I am just impatient!! Thanks for all the support!!
I know its hard to do because you want it to be over with and you want to meet him but enjoy these last few weeks with DH while its just the two of you. Trust me after Ryder is here, getting quality time with DH will be a thing of the past:~(
BTW- I cant beleive how close you are!!!!! WHOO HOOOO!!!!
Take this opportunity to see every movie out there. The suck reflex develops quite late in the piece so it's good he is still in there. You want a good sucker for breastfeeding. I hope it all goes well. A c-section isn't the end of the world but does add complications.
So glad to hear all is well for you and little Ryder! The last few weeks do tend to drag compared to the rest of the pregnancy, but so very soon you will be holding him and thinking how times goes by so quickly. Hugs to you!
Yes savor these last weeks and do something nice for yourself! It sounds weird but I almost felt a sense of loss after giving birth to my daughter because then she wasn't with me every second of the day as she was during my pregnancy!! It truly is a magical, wonderful time!! Enjoy it!!
Amanda, i'm so happy to hear that everything is going great! I've been waiting all day for your post :) I know the last few weeks are a killer, but it will be so worth it in the end. Get all the rest you can because when Ryder gets here your not gonna want to put him down or miss a second just staring at him. Sending you a great big hug(share it with Ryder when he comes) xoxo
Happy to hear everything went well... Your time is almost here sweetie:-), Nevertheless, I can relate to you ready to hold your bundle of joy. Take care of yourself for the next few days:-)
Love YA
Yolanda
Oh, I'm glad he's still baking : ) That's what you want!!! Savor these last couple weeks Momma...cause soon it's gonna be WA!!! WA!!! WA!!!! WA!!! WA!!! LOL
Oh girl...so happy for you...he will be here before you know it!!
girl get your dh to give you some sex!! lol its supposed to be the best thing for kickstarting labor. a few more weeks does seem like eternity doesnt it? i know you want that baby boy to hold and kiss on, it will happen soon and then you have him for the rest of your life.
what you need is to fill your time right now. are you a scrapbooker? i wish i was, but i have seen some of the most beautiful baby books done with scrapbooking. or start a journal. with my son i wrote almost daily for the first 1+ of his life. i go back and read all the time. it was about our day, my love for him, what he ate that day ect.
go get a pedicure and get a trim on the ol locks one more time it could be a bit of time before you get out again without the little booger. walking is good for labor too. of course when its cold who wants to leave the house!!!
i cant wait to see him too, i can imagine what he looks like and such a sweet little face!
Well it sounds like everything else is perfect. You never know some women dilate very quickly and next exam you could be 3cm. :)
I agree, the last few weeks do drag! UGH....
