Morning Sickness

Hi ladies:  I have a question.  I am almost 6 wks pg and I haven't really been sick.  I mean certain smells make me gag and all but that's it.  Is this normal???  Has anyone had this before and have a good healthy pregnancy???  I guess I should be lucky.  Then I hear that being really sick means a healthy pregnancy so what does that mean for me.  I am sure everything is fine.  I have to go on 10/13 for my 1st u/s and this waiting is killing me.  I hate waiting.  Thanks in advance for whoever replies back to me.  I would appreciate anything to make me feel better.  Thanks again.

be happy! : )  but i totally know what you mean - as much as i hated being nauseated i felt a little reassured by it.. however i was sick from 5.5 weeks till now (35 weeks!! and still going!! ) so hopefully your one of those lucky people!!    it does not mean healthy or not heatlhy pregnancy though - i had 4 mc's prior to this pregnancy and 3 of them no sickness and 1 of them i was horribly sick (hyperemesis - like this pregnancy) and it was not a viable pregnancy... Congrats on your pregnancy, and i hope too that you stay well!!! : )

i am laughing here because my awful morning sickness kicked in right around 6.5 weeks. before that i was fine. then i was terribly nauseous from 6.5 weeks to almost 15 weeks, 24/7.

my sister was sick from 8 weeks until 24 weeks.

i'm hoping for you that you just get lucky and don't get it! :)

You can't determine how healthy a pregnancy is by symptoms.  Some women have really strong ones, others none at all.  It's still early, you may very well get morning sickness in a week or two, but if not, count yourself lucky!!  Congrats on your pregnancy and enjoy!!

I wouldnt worry about that at all. Everybody and pg is so different, alot of people dont even get sick at all! I have 5 boys and only slightly got sick with 1 of them. I think thats an old wives tale. Relax and enjoy! :) Congrats on your lil bean and keep us posted with your upcoming u/s!!!

Not all women having morning sickness and they still have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. I would try not to worry and enjoy the pregnancy, though I know how hard the wait can be for that first ultrasound. :)
