Tiaojung Cuyun Wan - Chinese Medicine

After another month of the dreaded BFN I consulted a chinese herbalist about acupunture but after being picking myself off the floor at the overwhelming costs she re-appeared with 4 boxes of 'magic medicine' which I ended up buying at another considerable cost just to make a quick exit!!! I wondered if anyone has any thoughts or experiences on these remedies?? I am not sure if I am allowed to post the actual name of the treatment but here goes... the box says Tiaojung Cuyun Wan and I was sold 4 boxes which I am supposed to be taking twice a day - morning and eve for 20 days.

I haven't started the treatment - urging too much on the side of caution but want to give it a go incase it is a miracle cure and does help me to get my long awaiting BFP!!!

Please ladies if you have tried this or know anyone who has I would love to hear from you!!

Thanks ladies for your honest opinions and open answers. I think your replies have confirmed my sceptical thoughts!! I knew deep down that it wasn't going to be the miracle cure all. Probably best I don't take them as I am already on Clomid and not sure that it will do me any good. I know its in God's hands - I just wanted to give a helping hand as I think my lovely OH and I want this more than God does ha ha!

Adgal - Thanks for your tip, we are using preseed - I am armed with it again this month. Good luck to you Amanda this month too, I really hope this is your cycle. I will keep watching and waiting for you to post that BFP.

Yvette Y - Thank you so much for your insight into herbs and acupunture, I am thrilled for you that you got the result within the first month - thats fantastic news. I was really inspired to read about your son's GF's Mum is having a thriving pregnancy at 47 - gives me hope and I am sure other women over 40 too.

I can't comment either on this product, but I can tell you I am suspicious of pretty much everything these days...so many products on the market that claim to add to fertility!  I can tell you I also swear by preseed!!!!!  It has worked for me a few times now, and I still use it every cycle!.  Good luck Debs, I sure hope this is your cycle!!!

Hello...I tried this route too without sucess.  I remember having to take 12 pills morning and night when TTC...they were these weird little black balls, I drank a lot of herbal tea that was prescribed and did acupuncture twice a week!!    What can I say I was desperate and wanted to believe anything.   I was taking Shu Gan Wan and drinking Zhi Ke Pi Pa Chong Ji....I just threw them out when I read your post.  

In my personal opinion I don't really believe this helps...there are studies that say the acupuncture helps, but I'm skeptical.   I think it just a matter of getting a good quality egg.  

So that's my experience.  I did get pregnant however after the the first round of acupuncture but it ended up being a chemical pregnancy.  Coincidence, I dunno....this is merely my opinion and personal experience.

Good luck to you.   By the way if it gives you any hope I just found out that my son's girl friend's mom is pregnant at six months.  She is 47 years old!

Hi Pam, How are you? Are things going ok?? Bet you are blossiming nicely now - big hug to you! ... yes I ordered the pre-seed and have tried it as have been put on clomid and know it can create hostile CM. I use it one month - get a BFN and then abandon it the next month. But did use it last month and am gonna give it another go this month - pulling out all the stops ha ha ha!! I know TTC is one of those 'roll of a dice' things and guess when its my turn it will happen, thanks for your support - I will post that BFP one day... god speed!!

Hi Debs, I can't comment on the chinese herbs or acupuncture, although I know some women that have tried and can atest to it's benefit.  Not to change the subject, but have you tried pre-seed?  I think I remember one of your posts that you were ordering it, I wasn't sure if you had used it yet, or what your experience has been...I guess I can answer that question as I see you got a BFN this month : (   I'm cheering for ya though, and still anticipating one of these days seeing a post from you saying I GOT MY BFP!!!!!   Good wishes sent your way!  Pam
