My girlfriend that had one went full term with her twins.  They were each over 6lbs which is pretty big for twins.  Then her son was almost 11 lbs.  She is tiny like you.  I am sure all of this has something to do with the hernia situation.  It's too bad you had such a negative experience with the father and I can understand how that would make this all difficult emotionally.  I truly hope you can enjoy that life growing inside of you.  One of my big regrets is that when I was pregnant with my son I was so worried and stressed out all of the time I never really got to enjoy it like I should.

i am exactly 10 weeks and 2 days.     due date oct. 5th.           i also believe with the first pregnancy i had alot of neg. expierences with the father and physcially towards the end being soooo big with no help... soo perhaps alot of it is more mental than physcial ?? not really sure. i do worry alot...     also didnt know i posted this... but my daughter at birth weighed 9lbs 2oz 22in long. and easy too say i only weighed 115lbs pre pregnancy with the first.,......   just too big for my physcial physic i assume.

I'm glad you feel welcome.  Honestly I don't know much about her situation except that she had it repaired after their son was born.  She just mentioned that it didn't bother her too much.  I wish I could be more helpful.  Keep us posted thought.  I have no doubt that at some point someone else will be in the same situation and will appreciate hearing about your experience.  I hope it doesn't bother you too much.  How far along are you?

thanks for comment back. also. that makes me feel wanted in these forums. lol. even thou i may not be 35. but i can also understand the concerns age can make a difference. also. as too your friend having twins.. was the hernia quite large ? or small ?      sadly. i been told that makes a difference. also. i read some where were it says at 20 weeks the uterus some how prevents the bowels from not pushing out further...   sumthing to ponder on i guess.

Hi there.  Please don't worry about the age issue.  All are welcome here.  The only real reason there is a seperate group for over 35+ is we often have some slightly different concerns such as chromonsonal abnormalities, etc.  It's fine for you to post here.

I didn't have this particular issue, however a girlfriend of mine did.  She developed a hernia while pregnant with her twins.  She conceived again very quickly after they were born, so carried her second pregnancy with it still there.  She said it wasn't awful.  There was definately some discomfort, but nothing terrible.  And as far as I know, it doesn't endanger the baby.  It is something I would most definately bring up with your OB though.  Perhaps there is a solution available now.

Take care, and congrats on your pregnancy.
