sex at 7 weeks after a prior m/c

Hello ladies, I had a mc on 12/03 I am now 7 weeks pregnant again (very happy but nervous and scared) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if its safe to have sex at 7 weeks, I am terrified, with my prior pregnancy I bleed most of the time until I miscarried and now I don't want to jeopardized this pregnancy by having sex so early on, I don't want to start bleeding again and not be able to stop! help!!

It is my understanding that intercourse cannot cause m/c.  Unless you have reason to believe that it might cause a problem in your particular circumstance, I wouldn't think that you would be any different.

Can you call your doctor and at least talk to someone on the phone?  Do you have to wait to see him in person?  Just my humble opinion here, Feb. 17th is a very very very long time to have to wait to get an answer like this from your doctor, who you are paying, he works for you.  It would seem that you should be able to get an answer, even from whoever is on call over the weekend.  Not trying to sound rude here, just my thoughts.

I'm sure other girls might have more specific things to say, I'm sure you are not the first one to be worried about this type of thing.  Sorry for your m/c but big congats on this preg!  Good luck.
