My baby has quiet days? Normal?

I asked my doctor about this yesterday and he said not to worry but I'm wondering if anyone else can help me out.  Some days my baby is super quiet and I'll hardly feel her move and other days she's just bouncing around everywhere.  At my check up yesterday, her heartrate was about 140bpm and very active, today, quiet as a mouse.  I'll be 30 weeks Tuesday.  Any similarities with your pregnancy would help ease my mind.  Thanks, Melinda

Hi - I'm in the same boat.  My little guy was pretty quite yesterday and this am, but I woke him up with my doppler and heard his strong hb.  I am keeping that Doppler until I pop him out, that's for sure!

He definitely has days were he goes ape #$*%, others where he is pretty quite.  My doc says that's normal.

I just wanted to say that Gabriel has been on the same routine since I started feeling him strongly.  Very active for 2 to 3 days, then hardly anything for a couple.  I last week or so his less active days have a little more reassuring because he is running out of room and I feel just about every movement.  About a week ago there was one day I was on the verge of calling the doc.  But I would stop what I was doing, lean back or sit quietly and count all the movements (even tiny ones) and they were there, just very light.  I think he just wears himself out stretching, rolling, kicking and flipping.... and his little body has to rest/sleep for a while.  I keep telling dh he will probably have that routine when he is born, active 2/3 days then rest 1/2 days.

my mind is at ease now, I've been going thru the same thing, I just want her to move all the time, she's more active on the weekends.  That's probably because I'm home relaxed and concentrating on her instead of the JOB!  But today, she has been bouncing around in there so I'm enjoying myself right now, love feeling her move.  That is one thig I know I will miss about being pregnent, is feeling her move inside of me but I known I'll love her even more, if possible, once I'm able to see her, touch her and just to hold her!  Man I can't wait for her to get here, I have a few more months (due May 6/7) but I'm ok waiting for her:)

Mine was exactly the same... I worried also.. but then later that day or the next he was all over the place again.  Sometimes, I would even start poking around to get some activity out of him.

Thank you all for easing my mind.  I love love love feeling her move and always notice when she doesn't do it as much.  It's the one thing I'm going to miss most about being pregnant.  Well, when it feels like shes pinching my bladder, I won't miss that so much!

V-I have seen my little girl do the same thing!  It's amazing isn't it?  I love seeing her little head or foot or hand push up and it's usually right around my belly button!

Baby having active days and quiet days is normal. Sometimes it depends on how much you are moving around. If you are moving and walking often, you can be rocking baby asleep, so will be more quiet. Other times it may depend on how baby is positioned. If baby is facing out, you'll feel the kicks and movements more distinctly than when baby is facing inward and kicking your internal organs instead. And baby can also be energetic one day and sleepy the next . . . growing is hard work!  Good luck!  (23w5d, #3)

My first girl was VERY quiet to the point of having to wake her/startle her during the stress test thingie where you sit in a lounger for 30 minutes and push the button everytime she moved.  We had 2 tests where she didn't hardly move at all and they had to bang on my belly with a .... well it looks like a tin measuring cup and a hammer... then she would kick and roll over and proceed to go back to resting.  Annoyed the doc to no end because she wasn't much of a mover, especially during the times of the appointments, but she was fine.  She did usually have 2 or 3 specific times during the day when I could feel her flip, but that would be about it.

My second baby....she wanted to kick her way out from the beginning.  It was a good thing she was taken early.  She nearly kicked me to death!!!!  :)  Love her anyway.

Sounds like you have a typical baby.  Congrats!!!!!

Mel!!! OMG! I have that happen ALL THE TIME to me!!!! My little girl was SO bouncy the day i stayed at home sicker than a dog... then nothing! these past 2 or 3 days she's been hardly moving... specially today! i feel her every morning driving to work, i even talk to her and say 'good morning little princess'... this morning i hardly felt her.... =(
Ya know the thing that most concearned me today was that accidentally (this morning, while still in bed) i squirted A LOOOT of afrin in my nose and i couldn't spit it out... i swalloed the whole thing and it tasted NASTY, even gave me a little stomach ache.... first thing i thought... OMG! NO!! my baby!!! what if it gets into the placenta and shrinks the vessels like in my nose!?!?!?!?!?! then to f' it more,.... she doesn't move today! =((

I've felt her little bits... but i wish she'd be more active today!

Last night she was funny... she likes to stick her head up (right around my belly button) and i get a hump! lol... so i massage it and talk to her... well, i told daddy and what does he do? presses it! lol... what a mean SOB!! lol... it was funny cuz she kicked right away but didn't move! she still had her little mellon stuck out as far as she could! lol aweeee

I'd say it's normal girl.... and not to worry... but i know we will regardless... so might as well just say: you are not the only one here! ;)
