Most Dr.'s like to see you get as close to 40 weeks as possible unless there is a medical reason to have you go early.  Talk to your Dr. and he or she can work with you to either try to make you more comfortable, or to make the decision to have baby come at 37 weeks.  Either way, all the best to you.

You could. I had a planned section at 37 weeks with my second child. He was footling breech and I had excess amniotic fluid so they were worried my waters would break and the umbilical cord would come out first. BUT they did do an amnio a couple of days prior to check for lung maturity.
Now baby was a healthy 8 12 but he did spend 2 days in the baby unit away from me as he did have low blood sugars, was quite jaundiced and it took 6 weeks of very hard work to get him nursing well  My third baby was born by c section a few weeks ago the day after her due date. She was 8 13, has had no issues at all and has nursed well from birth. In my opinion those extra weeks made a heck of a difference and although the last few weeks of pregnancy were hard ( I have a old back injury that made life pretty uncomfortable) the first few days and weeks were far far easier with the baby born at term than the one born three weeks early.
