quad screen - update (good news this time)

Brother!

After the debates of yesterday and today (for dh and I)

My ob called to say that every one and their dog called her yesterday after we left (genetics lab, blood lab) there was confusion about my quad part 1 & 2 because part 1 i wasn't checked off as diabetic (doc from at clinic nobody thought i was diabetic at that point) and my ob checked off diabetic on part 2 so lab calculated results as non-diabetic which got me a result of 1:220 for downs  - normal risk for my age 39 is 1:100, cut-off for amnio and genetics counselling (in bc, canada for 39 year old) is 1:300. When they re-ran my numbers as diabetic it came back as 1:450 so now I don't qualify for the amnio. so that takes some questions out of the equation.

so now we're just going with if anything funky shows on the level II, fetal echo ultrasound which is may 27th.

no kidding! the drama of my pregnancy is driving me nuts...... it makes our monetary worries pale in comparison - dh still is laid off....I go on mat leave Sept 18th.

One bright spark is that for two days in a row my fasting blood sugar number in the morning is very good..... so my 2x long acting insulin (nph) is working ...... yay.

Thanks for you support, its nice to be able to vent etc...
