My doctor had me in as soon as I found out I was pregnant just to do blood work. Then she didn't want to see me til 14 weeks. I think when you are young and healthy they don't need to see you until your second trimester.

Its the norm dor ur first ob oppt to be around 12 to 14wks. .try not stressing  that's not Good for you or  baby. If you don't want to go on ur b day have them give u another day with in that week! You can get prenatal vitamins at the drug store and start taking them ..wishing you the best of luck in your pregnancy.

Unless there is something wrong, they don't want to see you until later. If you have issues in the meantime, you can always go into the ER. Understand its a standard practice, it not just you. Follow the previous posters advice and start taking prenatals and stay away from smokers, alcohol, and all bad stuff. Eat healthy and just keep living life.

Please, don't panic. 6 weeks is very early for any kind of testing or sonogram. At this point you just confirm your pregnancy, which clearly you have done. Take care of yourself as the first trimester is crucial for your baby's development. His/her body just starts to form along with primitive organs. Eat well and rest a lot if you feel fatigue.
Good luck!

Even being high risk I was not seen until what we thought was 8 weeks (turned out to be like 6). But before I went to doc I went to the local planned parenthood and got confirmation. It was free. You can try that or your local school based health clinic if you have one in your area. Don't stress enjoy the excitement! Best if luck

Even if your dr office did get you in right away they really want do anything. My dr office saw me at close to 10 wks, and all i had was a consult. If you're not bleeding, in major pain then i don't see a reason to be worried. Like prev posts say, can down and relax.  Good luck!
