induction failure!!

I got induced yesterday with cytotec at 8 am and was released at 3pm bc nothing was happening. I had a few contractions show up so I couldn't get a 2nd dose and today I have nothing going on....has this happened to anyone else?! Believe me I've tried all the natural inducing you could think of and nothing has helped! TIA

Jcdubcak is right! Why would you be given that drug? Its really harmful and can cause uterine rupture. Pretty sure it is NOT to be used for induction. Ive never heard of thst drug being used to induce. Definately pitocin or a syntocin drip or whatever its called

Still your body and your choice what drugs they give you and baby.   Research their planned methods and make sure you feel comfortable with it.

Obviously the Dr must think she was ready or they would not have started the induction. Sometimes there are complications or possible problems that may arise if baby is allowed to go full 40+ weeks. My Dr won't let me go to 40 BC of the risk of still birth at my age. I'm being induced in 12 days n I really hope it does not fail

Why induce?   Let your body and baby's lung maturation cue your body when it's time.   Have you read the manufactures stance on using that drug for induction?   It says absolutely don't do it.
