I too smoked weed in my younger day then found out I was pregnant I stopped straight away, it can cause behaviour issues in children and though you might feel your child seems OK but your never know what they might of been like its been to lower intelligence. Be careful coming off as your baby has been having what you have and baby might suffer withdrawals but you sound like a soft user. But there is evidence that even women who smoke then when there babies are born they cry more as are going through nicotine withdrawal.
I have a simuar problem I have chronic pain and am on meds I might have to reduce or my baby will suffer from withdrawals it hard but i want to do what's bext for my baby and i am sure you do too.

I actually am in the same position. I am a daily smoker of marijuana. This is my third pregnancy. Each time I smoked up until the point I found out I was pregnant. I have done research on this and my conclusion from what I have read is that it does not seem to have any real impact while in the first trimester. There is really a lack of helpful, non biased information because it is frowned upon in general and even more so when one is pregnant. With that being said, even though I don't have enough proof to show that it can or cannot harm the baby, is it worth endangering your child? And how would you feel if your child were to be born with some defect that you know you could have prevented by not smoking? I know I wouldn't be able to handle that so for me the answer is to give it up. I feel it's just not worth the possible risk. I mean, I am giving up soft cheeses for fear of a problem, I most certainly won't continue to smoke. My regret would be unimaginable if my baby were to be born with a problem that I could have knowingly prevented.

I would cut down but i really dont think theres any proof of harm that it does, i have a book 'having a baby' that the hospital gave me, in the drug affects chart it says that weed has no known affect, only that you use tobacco to smoke with it and the tobacco is harmful, it just said that THC stays in your body for a while, no known cause..

I used to smoke weed every day too until I found out I was pregnant. Truth is, you will probably never find a legit fact sheet on this because all the websites are biased. However, I can tell you that some hospitals will drug test you throughout your pregnancy. And most hospitals will test the baby when its born, if there is anything in its system that is not prescribed to you, cps will get involved immediately. This happened with my mother and sister, she was taken at 3 weeks old because marijuana was in her system at the time she was born. So really, its not even worth the risk. Besides, think about it like this... If you wouldn't smoke right in your newborns face, you probably shouldnt smoke while pregnant.. anything you breathe in or consume, so does your unborn baby. Just a thought. Best of luck to you.

Hi!

CONGRATULATIONS! You probably won't find much on that!! However its like smoking which potentially causes distress..and possible harm to the baby. I can assure you that any Doctor will therefore advise against it. Don't put your baby at risk - its not worth it. Good Luck.

Some websites say that using marijauna while pregnant can cause low birth weight and some memory and attention issues later in life. While I'm not normally against it it's probably better for the baby if you don't use it while you're pregnant.
