I've never even heard of such a product but just got on their website & watched a video of a woman wrapping her baby in it. So now I'm curious too. Reno & tanker, do you guys have one? Or sheila?
makes you want one huh?... smile.. I got the same reaction..
ugh.. and I bought so many blankets already..
Morning girls! Isn't that the same as a swaddling blanket like you can get at walmart? It is interesting but I don't think I like how you hold the arms down, would seem to restricting on the baby?
yea.. I know... but did you watch the video?... hard to say... I did have a colic baby.. and I would of killed to try it back then.. but yea.. I thought that too... lol omg.. poor thing cant move.. funny.
but then again... they do love to be tight? and snuggley... I think Im going ot try it and see. My mother just laughed at me and said she will show me how to bundle a baby... I just shook my head at her.. she forgets how my dd was when she had colic!!! she is soo excited about another grandbaby.. all of hers are grown...
maybe someone will have one and reply...
yeah it will be interesting! But I've heard some babies don't like to be snuggly and tight, I was going to get a sling.. but I got so many replies saying that they don't like to be restricted like that. So I passed it up.. might be an interesting poll to take though..
You know, one of the kids that I had in daycare years ago had colic.. I used to put a radio on a non station close by and something in the sound eased the baby's colic. Not sure if that works for every baby, but his mom did it for him and told me to try it and it worked. Guess it would be the same sound as a vacuum cleaner?
oh yea.. I did the vacuum..music.. car.. u name it...every day from ? oh.. I think it was from 6-9pm... constant crying!!! everynight!! it was like a light switch when she turned 3 months...no problems..
later I found out my dh had it, so I think its genic... Just makes life hell for three months. I remember taking her to the dr many times over it, and they would just tell me it will pass. ugh..
anyone that had a colic baby knows what Im saying... lol its not fun...I guess im just freeking out this one will have it and trying to prepair myself..lol
hey... found something .. check it out...

guess its another one of those personal choices... smile
well now, making it more interesting!
I think it depends on baby. Both mine loved being swaddled for those first several weeks/ months, including the arms being tucked in too. In fact, they would get pretty annoyed when unwrapped for diaper changes! I've never used the miracle blanket, but can see how it would be very useful to get baby into a good swaddled position. Remember, they've been tucked all snug and tight into your uterus for months and like that feeling of being cozy.
Check out this website too. The "happiest baby on the block". We have a the dvd and love it! I'll have to watch it again before this baby arrives for a refresher! http://www.thehappiestbaby.com/ (30w1d, #3)
How long has it been since you've had a baby? We didn't have this stuff when we had ours, did we?? Anyway, I remember putting my dd in her crib & rolling up bath towels & putting them on either side of her to keep her feeling 'snug'. What can I say - necessity is the mother of invention? Are you guys going to try it?
This blanket is very similar to the Kiddopotamaus SwaddleMe blankets except that the SwaddleMe's do not have the inner wings that secures their arms down. I have the small and large SwaddleMe's and I LOVE them. I don't have to worry about any blankets becoming loose overnight when Isabelle is sleeping. When she was a newborn I just tucked her arms inside and she loved it. Now that she is 8 weeks she likes her arms free so we just secure it with her arms out. She doesn't sleep that great without it - I think it makes her feel more secure and restricted so their is less startling. They wash well but just one warning to secure the velcro before you wash it or they will stick to any terrycloth jammies you have and snag them! very well worth the money though - only about $10 each and sometimes BabiesRUs has 2 for 1.
to heck with it .. Im going to get it.. if it doenst work. I ll use it for a dust cloth.. smile
yea, i hear you 40mom!!... baby things have really come around and sooo much more handy then what we had befor... smile gotta luv it..
tahariel... got the videos on the way here... looks like I like this guy already!!.. got the toddler one comming too... blockbuster has them to rent. Thank you soo much.. I hope it helps. I never swaddled my dd.. maybe that would of help her the first couple of months? gonna learn all about it... for this one.. ha ha
