OB appointment today

Sorry I have been away a few days.  I was starting to really work myself into a panic, so it seemed best to try not to think about things for a few days...the break did me good I think.  Had my OB appointment today and it could not have gone better.  I took my doppler in and she found the heartbeat in about 3 seconds with it.  It was 160, so high side of normal for this stage.  Of course I tried the doppler when I got home and still can't find the darned thing...lol.  OH well, she said it will get easier as I get further along. She also backed up the results with her own doppler, so we know mine works well.  I feel a whole lot better and more confident then a few days ago. She said that because all my m/c's have been first trimester, she is very optimistic that this one is going the distance.  I guess it's safe to start shopping now!!  I am just so relieved as I had once again managed to completely convince myself that I was losing this one as well...don't know why, just neurotic I guess..lol.

NT is tomorrow and I am not even remotely concerned about the findings.  My entire focus has been making it through first trimester, so I need a break from worry.  I am assuming all will be well.

Thanks for all the wonderful notes and messages over the last few days.  As always, it meant a lot to me.

XOXO  Amanda

Amanda, I'm so happy that you are breathing a sigh of relief! I hope that it is a long-lasting (about 6 months worth ;) ) of relaxation!

I'm still a big waffling mess, but I have my NT scan next week and if all goes well with that...am going to go public! AAGHH! Even the thought of it makes my heart race.

Congrats and enjoy, my friend! It's been a long time coming and you deserve every second of happiness!!!

How wonderful that your appt went so well, Amanda!  Hopefully your confidence will continue to increase so you can do my favorite thing - shop 'til you dro, girlfriend!  I have loads of favorite sites that I looked at for various things - let me know if you need any info on these and have fun!  I'm sure too that you'll be able to find the heartbeat easier as you get further along - jen

I'm soo happy for you, I just know everything is going to be okay, this is the one girlfriend, so get used to the fact that you're really going to be a mommy this time.  I just new in my heart things were going to work out for you sooner or later, I'm so glad you never gave up.  With your stories you will also be able to give others on this board hope and believe that things will happen for them as well.

Wow, you will get to see little beaner on ultrasound tomorrow, it's so amazing to watch them grow by ultrasound and awesome to see them flip and turn and move all around.  The next milstone will be feeling the baby move, which is one of the most amazing feelings in the world and then to watch your belly get bigger and bigger knowing that a little life is growing inside you.  I'm so glad you're finally getting to experience this on your own and giving and watching birth will take it all, everything will finally be worth it.  I'm so happy for you and Warren that this is finally it, I know exactly how you're feeling to finally know in your heart that this is the one, been there!

Please let me know how things go with your NT.  I'm sure everything is going to be great.

Love Ya Sweets!
