I am pregnant also, although I still have some to go.  I'm about 27 weeks now.  I have Chronic Pain due to a number of conditions and have needed to take opiate/opiod pain medication throughout my pregnancy.  I've done a lot of research about this and in my opinion, the amount you take should be no problem at all and it may be more beneficial as the cortisol levels rise when we are in pain and can cause labor/pre-term labor if the pain gets out of control.  I have met many women through online groups who have given birth to healthy babies who had no problem coming off meds taking more than you do.
Of course, I am no expert and everyone is different.
Here is some of the most helpful research I have found that talks about the different medications, their effect on the baby, and likelihood of dependence at birth.  I hope it helps you.  I also have it posted to my journal with other information about me.
Best of luck and Congratulations!

I agree with peek.  It's all risk vs. benefit and it sounds like this is necessary.  Do not just stop cold turkey without working with your Dr.  At this stage that can often do more harm then good.  I am sure all will be fine, and congrats on your soon to be little one!

If your OB says its ok, and the pediatrician says its ok, then I would accept their advice.

You'll be taking far more than that after the C/S.

Good luck!
