I'll be 41 at time of delivery. I'm almost 17 weeks and everything is going fine. I concieved with the help of one month of Clomid.
Good Luck to you.
Hi, I am 43 and due in October. I went with IVF and conceived using my own egg on the first try. So far everything has gone smoothly. Good luck!
I'm not currently pregnant but am 45 and gave birth to a healthy baby boy in April (was 44 at the time). If it's any help, my pregnancy went very smoothly - the only real issue we had to deal with was nausea but it was easily controlled w/Zofran; however, due to egg quality, I conceived w/donor eggs. Good luck w/your decision if you're not pregnant but considering it. The main problem w/women our age is conceiving w/a healthy egg. Our egg quality is considerably low at this point of our lives but there are women who delivered healthy babies our age using their own eggs.
I just read your post, and replied to it. I was determined not to have anymore children because of this horrific experience...but with researching and asking lots of questions to different people about my incident, I am confident that given the opportunity to conceive and become pregnant again, this would not happen...at least whomever I get as my new OB will be aware of what I went through and will be on top of things. By the way...this didn't happen because of our advanced maternal age...this could have happened to a a 20 or 30 yr old, this I know. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and try to enjoy your beautiful baby girl now!!
Hi~
I just joined this site. I am 40 and gave birth to a healthy baby girl on May 14th, 2008. My pregnancy was great....no problems. She is my 1st baby and last:-) However, I had major complications after the birth. You can read my long story in this forum if you like under Birth, 2 DNC'S, and a Blood Transfusion.
Just be educated on the afterbirth complications when you are 35 and older. Unfortunately, I was not aware of any of it myself and now I am still trying to get well and figure things out.
I wish you a blessed pregnancy:-)
