breastfeeding

I had my baby at 36+3. I haven't had any colostrum that I've noticed come in. I've even tried to pump and nothing.  Is it because he came early nd if so will it still take only a couple of days for my milk to come in.

Just because you're not getting any when you pump doesn't mean your baby isn't getting any. Babies are much more effective then a machine. It can take a couple days, but I would talk to a lactation consultant to get some guidance.

Put baby on the nipple and let baby suckle. That will trigger production of milk.

I would try getting in contact with a lactation consultant and see if they can help you with ideas on massive sure you get milk in. Normally the hospital has one or two. But you can look up milk producing foods. I know there are lactation cookies that have oatmeal and flax seed and other stuff that helps produce milk. You might look into those and see if it helps put.

Some times it take longer for some ppl, but if you still not producing milk after baby is trying to nurse,  talk to your doctor and they can give u medicine to make you start flowing
