stretch mark

I can't believe it. I'm only 23 weeks pregnant and just noticed a stretch mark. I have gain 15 pounds probably because I'm not walking but this stretch mark seems really early. I hope they are not hereditary my poor mom's stomach was COVERED. Any tips or tricks to prevent anymore besides no more gain weight?

I also use palmers--the cocoa butter.  I buy unscented and slather it on regularly and everywhere. I had no marks with my first.  The older moms at my work insist that it works if you apply liberally.  They reminded me almost daily LOL!   Sorry about your accident. That must've been really scary.  I hope the rest of your preg is uneventful and healthy.

No amount of cream will prevent stretch marks. If your gonna get em, your gonna get em regardless.  But definitely keep moisturizing it helps keep the skin soft.

I have used Palmers cocaoa butter tummy butter and haven't gotten any stretch marks I'm almost 38 weeks. All my sister's and my mom got them, so I expected it. I use it generously everyday it's five bucks at Wal-Mart and I've only had to buy 2 cans throughout my whole pregnancy hope this helps good luck!

^^ your so sweet! I was in a bad car accident at week 12 and in a wheelchair so I have a little extra to think about things. I dream of walking. I called my husband and he just laughed and reminded me what my body is doing. Thanks again for brighten my day. I will continue to eat healthy I just need this Halloween candy out of here.

Please don't stop gaining weight! I hope that's not what you meant? Stretch marks are hereditary and no creams or oils prevent because the rips occur below skin surface. Use organic creams to remove itch, and remember those are your battle scars and they are nothing to be ashamed of. You are and will be beautiful with any stretch marks that may happen. But please continue to eat healthy and just go walk for a few minutes.  Baby's health needs it!
