41 yrs old at 20 wks along and simply exhausted!

I work literally everyday and I'm constantly out of breath. My body is also very tight and I don't feel so flexible. Bending down is not easy.. Basically, I feel like I'm further along than I actually am. I have gained 12.5 pounds so far and I still have 5 more months left! I think it's going to get worse.. but I don't want to be in so much pain. Anyone else??

I'm 35 and 20 weeks in.  Today I thought I would literally fall asleep on my desk. I'm always so tired. Can't wait for my maternity leave to start in August!

Thanks for the tip! I do notice a big drop in energy when I forget to take my prenatal! I've been trying to keep a close eye on my diet but it's hard when my appetite is low. I eat just for the baby as I have had very little cravings and I forget to eat sometimes. :/

I had massive fatigue first trimester. Had very low iron and required iron infusions. Ask your Dr. to draw labs for Iron, Protien, B12, B6, D etc. You may require vitamins in addition to the Prenatal you take. You also want to ensure you eat 4-6 times a day, combining protien and slow carbs (vegies, legumes) limit fast carbs (bread, cereal, pasta, sugary drinks etc) Most women have more energy 2nd trimester. Now in my third, at 35 weeks, I have energy, sleep like a baby, still have ankles....Had to do another iron infusion and have gest. diabetes but have managed it with diet. Take care of self! Make sure you are scheduling adequate time to sleep.

Thanks for sharing your stories ladies! I'm glad I'm not alone but I wish us all a more gentle pregnancy! I'm going to try some stretches and light exercises for my lower back.

Same here! I'm 38, 13 weeks along. I'm exhausted every single day, even if I am not working. My husband doesn't understand and I think he is starting to resent it a bit. I know I do. I knew I would have to change a lot of things when the baby came but didn't think so much would change once we got pregnant. I'm hoping I'll start to feel better in the next few weeks once we get into the second trimester.

I am 40 and 13 weeks along. I too feel super exhausted and ache. I am a high school teacher, I recently applied for an administrative position (assistant principal) and I am fearful of the demands of the position with a new baby.

I feel the same way.....I work 365 as well and my job isn't to hard but on our busy days when I do the most bending my lower stomach starts to hurt a little. My lower back hurts most of the time and I'll be 20 weeks on Monday but I and so feel like I'm 36 weeks.....I was thinking today like geez I'm almost halfway there and feel like this how will I really feel when I'm 36 weeks. When I'm not working I'm take it super easy but one thing that does worry me is going into labor early. :(
