Ok..so hubby and I and my two kiddos are headed south for a weekend the end of August for a family weekend with extended family (a 14-16 hr trip). Coincidentally, we are staying at a resort/campground. Now let me start by saying I am a HUGE camping fan normally. When we camp, we normally stay in a tent and rough it. We have been planning this trip for several months and my mother-in-law reserved 2 cabins, one for her and her husb. and one for us. We originally discussed the plans back in the spring before the reservations were made and she mentioned something about the fact that I will probably want a bathroom since I will still be pregnant then, an idea I agreed with. Unfortunately, last night it came out that she had reserved one with and one without a bathroom (an oversight I'm sure, but frustrating none the less). I love my mother in law, but "roughing it" is not her style at all. She would rather stay in a B&B than a motel (pretty much a no-no) and I'm not usually picky. But now I'm up 3-4 times a night to pee and am dreading the idea of staying in a cabin without a bathroom. If I thought it had multiple rooms, I might bring a bucket, but it's one small room and my teenage kids will be with us.
Now we have 3 options that I can see and I'm looking for thoughts...
1 - suck it up and stay in the cabin without the bathroom
2 - pay an extra 336 and stay in a suite with the kids (which has 2 bathrooms and a hot tub)
3- offer to pay the extra for a suite for 2 and send my MIL there, so we can have the bathroom cabin
I don't want to be the source of conflict, but this little vacation is starting to sound more like boot camp (no fun) if I don't get my "baby" sleep. HELP!
