Sonogram this morning- all is well :0!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my sonogram this mornining and all is well with the baby- he/she was waving at us. :) I had been worried- of course- because I had a missed miscarriage that went undiagnosed well into the second trimester. I was just so sure that something was wrong.

So at the sonogram- it was "registering" that I am 3 days further long than we thought. I don't know if that will change my dues date- but IF it does- that is the same date that our child was due that died- very heartbreaking. :(

Anyhow- I Also- I have a very badly tipped uterus- which makes PAP smears soooo painful- as well as finding the heartbeat- but I usually dont show for awhile and then one day- when it fixes itself- will POP. But It is really badly tilted. My cerivix is resting on the top part of my pelvic bone- I wouold say it is almost flipped! Hopefully it will right itself soon. (The sonogram tech was just amazed at how TIPPED it is- WOW!- as are the doctors.) Anyhow- hopefully this won't cause any problems. I worry TOO much.

I am just so relieved - I just feel too good in the pregnancy - sickness- tiredness- soreness- :)

:)

I also had a missed misscarriage or as doctors called it a "blighted ovum". I had a D&C done when I was 12 weeks. And like you, I have a tipped uterus, so I know the pain you are describing.

I haven't got pregnant again yet, but trying to stay positive. After the excruciating pain during biopsy of the uterine lining at the fertility clinic, I think I will be able to handle any kind of pain.

If the baby is due or born on the day that your other baby passed, maybe it's God's way of turning your pain into JOY!

Congrats on a great U/S

That's wonderful news!!! I understand about the tipped uterus too. I just had a pap this morning as well, at 19 weeks. I was soooo grateful that the midwife was really gentle. It was actually my best experience ever with a pap smear!!

I'm glad everything went great. It's wonderful to be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief! :)

Congratulations!!  I completely understand the relief you feel right now.  There is nothing in the world that compares to finding out your much wanted baby is doing great!!  I am really really happy for you.

I can't comment on the tipped uterus, I don't know much about it.  But I can tell you that I have come across many many women in this forum who have had this condition, and it didn't seem to hurt anything, so hopefully that helps.  I think it is normal to worry anyway, and after a loss it can be even more so.  But sounds like you are well on your way to a healthy little boy or girl!!  Congratulations again.
