The end

Well ladies, I want for my first ultrasound today and there discovered that, although I'm 8 weeks and 1 day, the baby was only 6.5weeks and no heartbeat.  Here there is no question in the matter because I am a swiss clock when it comes to my period and I had just happened to go for yearly ultrasound and check up the month right before I got pregnant.  SOOOO, my baby is just dead.  I opted for a natural m/c, which I'm not looking forward to.  It will hopefully happen within a week or so.  I sadly have to say that this is one too many disappointments for me and my husband, and so, we won't be trying to get pregnant again.  Nevertheless, my husband and I will not actively try to avoid getting pregnant either, so I guess that who knows what will happen.  I wish all of you the best of luck and thank you for supporting me through the process.

So sorry to hear your news - I've been there before and both times I had a natural m/c too.   I hope it will be quick and less painful for you.  I know you said that you're both disappointed and giving up but, I'm glad that you won't "actively" try to avoid pregnancy.   I'm almost finishing my 18th week now and I hope one day we read about your "accidental" surprise BFP post.  Good luck and may your heart heal soon.

The cytotec did not make me sick, what made me sick was the strong pain killer I had taken by precaution but I ended up having hardly any pain. I took it for a chemical pregnancy detected at 9 weeks (no miscarriage symptoms except for a few cramps), I took the cytotec at 11 weeks and I am glad I did otherwise I don't know how many more weeks I would have had to wait to evacuate the sac. Once I took the cytotec it went very fast. Courage in this sad time!

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. My husband and I have experienced 2 miscarriages in the last year. One we did not know about and one at 20 weeks into my pregnancy, the docs discovered that the fetus was only 8 weeks old (missed miscarriage). I just want you to know that these are experiences in our loves that touch our hearts forever and that will never be forgotten. I remember after the last loss that I NEVER wanted to be pregnant again and I had a fear that I would never be able to be a mother. I just want you to know that there is hope hunny. As soon as I recovered from all of my complications from my D&C's, and started to feel as though my body was normal again, I felt like I needed to try again to have a baby. Here I am at 33 weeks into this pregnancy and I could not imagine not meeting this little person in my belly. I hope you and your husband find the strength to try again sooner than later  - if this is what you had planned. There is a baby waiting to meet its parents and that baby will be yours. Just remember that whatever happens in our lives, good or bad make us stronger people and make us the people we are. Find the strength, grieve and do what you feel is the right decisions for you and hubby. Hugs to you.

I am so sorry to hear this.  The same thing happened to me, except I'd had one ultrasound with a heartbeat and the next one- nothing.  I know how devastating it is and how awful to wait to miscarry.  Did you get a prescription for painkillers?  If not, you should.  I used cytotec- just be sure to have someone with you in case you need help.  I miscarried once naturally and once with cytotec- for the natural one I didn't take painkillers but the cytotec one I did so it was less painful physically.  (I took vicodin.)  I've heard good and bad about cytotec, but I didn't have any problems with it.  My heart goes out to you.

Thank you ladies for your much needed support.  I am glad to hear about the cytotec as a good alternative.  I somehow thought that it would make it even more painful.  I've only done this naturally once, and it was quite painful.  I think that I'll give it a week and if it doesn't happen naturally, then I will take the cytotec to help out.  Thanks again!

so sorry to hear this news......I will be praying that nature takes it course quickly and painlessly.....it is going to be an emotional road and as I am sure you've heard from others I wish you a swift recovery....allow yourself to feel the pain, but remember you know when you need to hurt and when you need to heal.....

So sorry for your loss!  The same thing happened to me a few years ago, and I also opted for a natural m/c.  It's a very emotional time for you, so take the time you need to heal both physically and emotionally.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your DH!!!!!

Sorry about the news, a miscarriage is always so devastating. For one of my miscarriages, I took a pill of cytotec to speed up things a little bit, I would recommend this pill if you don't want to wait too long for nature to take its course.
