Very different morning sickness this time around

Hi everyone,

I'm 10 weeks into my 4th pregnancy and have had a terrible time with nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, heartburn, bloating/belching and constant bitter taste in my mouth, not to mention unable to handle any kind of smells. This was not the case with my previous 3 pregnancies which were easy compared to this one. Admittedly I'm much older now(42) and last child is 7 years old but I just worry about other things being wrong with this pregnancy considering my age. anyone with a similar experience or opinion??

Even though I'm a little late, I just wanted to let you know that I was like Rachel, took Zofran my entire pregnancy.  When I lost some weight and couldn't keep anything down, that's when my doctor prescribed it and it was like a miracle.  I'm sorry you're having those other lovely symptoms - brings back such happy memories....sigh....jen

Hang in there...
Sounds like you just got lucky with your past pregnancies...I am now in the week of my 13th and can say I am feeling better...I started to feel a bit better by 10/5 weeks..and by 12 weeks I am almost back to "normal" and alot of my girlfriends have said..by week 14th at the latest you should be feeling alot better...by then all your hormones will be supplied to thru your placenta..and in which will give your body..naseau...etc a rest..
As for the gross taste Im with you on that...I brush my teeth about 4 times a day or more..just to get the taste out...yuk! Something that works for me..unscented clothes detergent..dish soap..shower soap etc...this may help...I went crazy with unscented everything I just couldnt bare the thought of anything fragrant..Although now I can tolerate it..thankfully...my husband is a patient man..
Also chew gum...I liked having cinnamon or hubba bubba...cut down on the gross taste..
Hang in there...it will get better!!

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm 15 weeks and still dealing w/ all that as well as sinus issues now. I am starting to get little breaks in between now, but I have gained 10 lbs so far and it's all baby. So, don't worry, your baby is still getting what it needs. W/ my first pregnancy (girl) I had it until 5 months, and my 2nd (boy) I didn't have it at all. So, I'm thinking this is a girl. I did read girls cause more hormones and that can cause your sickness to be worse and to last longer. I bet you're having a girl.

I'm only 7.5 weeks and for about a week now I've been very nauseous. Today was the first time I actually vomited. I really hope I don't have to wait through 7 more weeks of this. I must admit that I am quite miserable from it! Early on I had no pregnancy symptoms and I worried that I would m/c again. I guess I should be careful what I wish for!
Well, at least you can rest assured that you're in plenty of good company with your nausea :P
