You cannot get a false positive on a pregnancy test.  You have to have hcg in your system.  Call your doc and get a blood test.  They will do one 2 days later to make sure your levels are rising. (they should double every 48-72 hours.
Congrats!

I am 41!! My oldest is 20.  Then i have a 16 and 2 year old. We are pregnant with our last. I was very nervous this time around because of my age.  But after the ultrasound at 12 weeks and hearing the heart beat i felt better. I am due in August and everything is going great!! You can do it! As far as false positive,  i find it highly unlikely.  Congrats! !

It's not likely to get a false positive with a pregnancy test. Especially if you have take seven of them already. False negatives are more common.

If you are not sure, go to your doctor to confirm. They can draw some blood and test it that way.

40 is not too old. 40 is the new 30. I'm 37. Don't worry :) Just take good care of yourself. Congrats!
