c section and vacaction.

So I've been talking to my husband about our csection plans. We already have 3 children and only required my husbands help for 3-4 days after delivery.

This time due to complications my dr thinks csection is our best option. So should I have him take 2 weeks off(paid vacation) I will also be having my tubes tied right after.

I don't know how I'm going to feel after so I rather be safe then sorry.

My mother says she's going to watch my children but I don't want her to come up with an excuse later. Nor do I want to have my Children with her for more then a couple nights. Mainly just for The delivery.

Anyways is 2 weeks to little or just right?

@happysnapps; @mummainoz that's exactly why he wants to be here. To take the girls to school and cooking  and of course taking care of queen lol Thank you ladies a lot! I just wanted to make sure 2 weeks was enough!

@TigerLily1230 you are a g! I saw the process on YouTube I needed pain medicine just watching it! Lol hopefully I can can just go by with Tylenol. But this is my first csection and they are doing my tubes at the same time and the dr said it will increase the pain.

My husbands taking 2wks off as well. We are having a csection and last csection he was a massive help as baby and I were still in hospital and I really needed him to wheel me around to nicu and he wanted to be close to bub then the second week at home was great to help with washing and dinners plus he got to bond more with bub.

2 weeks is plenty. It took me about 2 weeks to start moving around better. I also chose to not take home pain meds, I just took Tylenol.

I'm not due until Oct1. but I know I will be delivering in late September.Going to have him request it this month so he can make sure he has the time off. I just worried about having my 3 year old and a new born and of course the pain from the csection. But I do agree he usually takes leave but this time since he's the only one working we can't afford more then 2 weeks.

I was very happy my partner was able to take two weeks off for the (vaginal) birth of our first. It was wonderful to have him there to help out but also just to sit on the couch with me and marvel at the wonder of our brand new amazing little person. With the anticipated arrival of our second this winter he is definitely planning on doing the same thing again. If your husband has the opportunity I'd say absolutely, have him take the time off. Such a great bonding opportunity. They're only brand new for such a teeny tiny amount of time!!
