How do you moms feel about vaccines??

I have been trying to do research about vaciness and wanted to see what you expecting moms think about it ? Is Hep b really necessary for a newborn? Are you moms going to fully vaccinate your baby?

Ok anyone against vaccines ever wonder why people live longer now than they did 100 years ago? Ever walk through an old grave yard and notice most Graves are for children ages 1 to 4?
Here are some facts
The annual totals of death from the following diseases 100 years ago in the u.s. before vaccines are

Diphtheria 21,053
H. Influenza 20,000
Hep. A 117,333
Hep. B. 66,232
Measles 530,217
Mumps 162,344
Pertussis 200,752
Pneumocaccal 16,069
Polio 16,316
Rubella 47,745
Small pox 29,005
Vericell 4,085,120

I don't know about you but I don't want my children to be a statistic!

I also agree with geekmom.  Get all the shots when they are offered. You never know when your going to run into a child/adult who can't have shots so u would b putting that person at risk. Shots like the flu and chicken pox are a eh thing. I've never had the flue shot and I've had the flu 3 times, I also had the chicken pox shot plus the booster and I've never had chicken pox,my siblings also had it and have had the chicken pox. My daughter and the one I'm pregnant with will not miss a shot. It not only effects them as a child but could even as an adult. What if your kid decides to work in the health field/daycare/school? Those jobs required to be vaccinated. Might as well do it while they are young and won't remember it. There is no actual proof that shots cause autism either.

Yes to everything Geekmom said. As a nurse I could not have said it better myself.

Most vaccines are very important. I have always vaccinated my children and only because of it being the law to enter school. My oldest had chemo and will need to be vaccinate again because none of her previous ones are effective for her. I do not believe in the chickenpox vaccine, my kids were All vaccinated for chickenpox and all got full blown cases. They came down with the full blown cases while I was pregnant with my youngest, I was lucky that I had been exposed as a child. I was told by the hospital that the vaccine for chickenpox was not a hundred percent, this child will not have the vaccine for chickenpox. I have done research and almost all other vaccines are close if not a hundred percent that they will not contract the virus.

I do agree that your child should have their vaccines to protect those who have illnesses that keep them from being vaccinated. You should not put others at risk because you are paranoid. You are risking your child and other people if you do not vaccinate.

I had four kids vaccinated for chickenpox and I had four kids that were covered in horrible chickenpox so I don't believe that it is worth the risk when it not likely to protect my child or others. If I thought that my children were completely protected and did not know what chickenpox looked like I could have made lots of people sick or took the infection to places where pregnant people were. I did take my children to the ER where they informed me that they had a full case of chickenpox like I thought and the vaccine was not a hundred percent. After that I did my research and decided that the one vaccine was not worth the risk but almost every other vaccine was worth the tiny risk.

I am a firm beluever of free choice, and seld educating. I am vaccinating, but on an alternate schedule. I will be breastfeeding, so he/she will be protected largely through that until 6 months.
After that I'll start vaccinating, but not for everything. Some vaccines have worse sideeffects (per 1000 given) than people contracting the disease a year, at some point you have to believe in the human immune system and not over vaccinate!

Hep B is not spread through needles or sex. That would be C. Yes your baby needs it. Honestly I would fight a daycare or school that allowed a child to attend who was not vaccinated. It's not just about your chikd. It's about everyone

I LOVE so many of these posts I feel like I don't need to get on my ER almost a FNP soap box about choosing to not vaccinate your children (: thank you ladies! Mommies in question of vaccinating your babies-pretty pretty please dig deep into the credible research available on vaccines and if you're struggling to understand the validity of research your reading, please ask a licensed healthcare professional to help!

Hep B is spread through bodily fluids and it can be spread during birth if the mother had it. Its not only with sex and sharing needles. Honestly, you have to educate yourself and do what you feel is best for you and your child. Im only giving my son the vaccines i got as a child, none of these new vaccines that are out now. Just remember theres a reason why alot of babies survive these days and it has to do with vaccines. Way back in the days when there were no vaccines, babies would die from all kinds of bacterial diseases.

True BUMP 2. just having your baby in the hospital they can catch HEP b. That's why healthcare workers are required. Its far too risky not vaccinate and I definitely don't want the alternative

All I want to add to this post is... I just seen a comment saying "a bavy wont be sharing needles..." etc. Ok, so what happens if by chance you are at a beach and someone has burried a needle in the sand??! (which does happen). I agree with geekmom and all that she has stated, and yes I have and will continue to get my lo vaccinated, look at all the diseases etc that should have been eradicated but are not due to people not vaccinating.

I'm going to home school my child or send them to a school that requires vaccinations. The government should force this on people. Sorry but it shouldn't be a choice. I don't want my kid to get sick with some deadly disease or get someone else sick. Its honestly just crazy how people think these days.

Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control or CDC that talks about myths surrounding childhood vaccinations and why they urge parents to vaccinate.  It's a good read.

So many take for granted the diseases vaccines have eradicated.  It's in the best interest of everyone to vaccinate their children.  WHO and the CDC can not say enough to parents about the importance of vaccinating their children. luck to all

Geekmom you are a genius. I couldn't have said it better myself. Working in healthcare I see first hand how NOT vaccinating effects babies. @NANA....sorry but she is correct...HEP B is not transmitted only by sex or needles....that is HEP c. HEP B is the most highly contagious form of hepatitis and is spread through any infected fluid. Childbirth is one of the number one ways HEP b is spread. I've seen babies die from this. I agree with geekmom 100%...the reason eradicated diseases are resurfacing and killing people is because people refuse to vaccinate their child. Doctors don't get paid to vaccinate your child....they collect an office visit fee which is usually less than fifty dollars so I assure you it's not about the money. My kid will be vaccinated because I care about their safety and the safety of those around them. And even though it is completely unproven I'd rather my kid be vaccinated and risk autism then risk killing my child over something I could have prevented. Personally I'm not ready to pick out a baby size coffin then turn around and file a lawsuit on the doctor that advised me to get him vaccinated and I decide it's there fault. Nawwww.....I'll listen to the experts and those that actually know medicine

Geek mom I always read your posts.  I swear she's like the smartest person I've come across on here.  I ABSOLUTELY agree with everything she said.  She's so insightful in such a nice way.  I mean I know I wouldn't want to be responsible for my kid passing diseases around either. The vaccines don't hurt the child, it seems more about your preferences.  The only research you're gonna find is negative research.  I'd look up what your state requires and if you plan on going back to work,  a daycare/school requires vaccines. Why? To protect other people from your child spreading diseases.  I totally get it Geek mom. My child and I get a flu shot every year. It's one less person to spread the disease around. I say think about it. Don't just jump to conclusion about what you find on Google. Talk with your doc too.  Ask where you can find "good" research.  Not just the first thing that populates on google. Good luck. ♡ :)

Why is it so toxic?
How it is prepared:

Recombinant adsorbed hepatitis B vaccine is prepared from transformed Chinese hamster ovary cells, and is a liquid product that contains hepatitis B surface antigen that is rendered insoluble by adding aluminum salt.
And causes…

Hepatitis B vaccine has a broad spectrum of activity, and 144 genes with different functions, including metabolism and inflammation, were differentially expressed after vaccination.
As someone interested in the role of inflammation in chronic diseases including mental illness, cardiac disease, cancer, and autoimmunity, this quoted mouse study concerned me in that it demonstrated cumulative inflammatory stimulation and damage with vaccine exposure lasting after the first day of injection.

Who cares about aluminum?
Aluminum activates microglia in the brain and is strongly linked to Alzheimers, Parkinson’s disease and autoimmune disorders. This is a known neurotoxin and potent immune stimulant – added because the newborn immune system is actually built not to respond. This has been referred to as the anti-inflammatory phenotype and speaks to the powerful interplay between an infant, their mother’s milk, and the priming of their immune system in the first 2 years of life. Several exploratory analysis have argued for a causative role for aluminum in autism incidence including one by Lucija Tomeljenovic and Shaw and by MIT researcher, Stephanie Seneff who states:

“Mentions of autism in VAERS increased steadily at the end of the last century, during a period when mercury was being phased out, while aluminum adjuvant burden was being increased. Using standard log-likelihood ratio techniques, we identify several signs and symptoms that are significantly more prevalent in vaccine reports after 2000, including cellulitis, seizure, depression, fatigue, pain and death, which are also significantly associated with aluminum-containing vaccines. We propose that children with the autism diagnosis are especially vulnerable to toxic metals such as aluminum and mercury due to insufficient serum sulfate and glutathione.”
Another study found that children who received the Engerix B Hepatitis B vaccine were 74% more likely to develop “central nervous system inflammatory demyelination” than children who did not receive the vaccine, and 177% more likely to develop multiple sclerosis

Geekmom i do see what u saying but DOES A NEWBORN REALLY NEED HEP B VACCINE? My baby wont be having sex or sharing needles it does not make ANY SENSE when their is a risk just like any medication of side effects and if i know im clean and do not have hep b why would i want to let a dr do that? They even they you at the Dr u are required an IV when in labor and that is not true.

I would get them all. The person who said hep b is spread sexually or with needles was incorrect. That would be hep c

Vaccines save lives. If you want to spread them out you need to recognize that you are extending the period of time during which your baby is at risk. A community in the US with high non-vax rates has just been hit with a massive epidemic of whooping cough and measles because people chose not to protect their children. These diseases can kill babies or cause them to grow up blind or sterile.
Yeah, most of us survived chicken pox. But if your non-vaccinated kid gives it to one of his friends on the playground who transmits it to his pregnant mom who's never had it - she will almost certainly miscarry. If your non-vaccinated kid contracts a disease and then plays with someone at daycare or school who has cystic fibrosis and therefore can't get vaccines due to an extremely compromised immune system, your kid may recover just fine but her CF friend might end up spending a month or more in the hospital. Do you want to be responsible for that? I sure don't.
Keeping vaccination rates high protects everyone in the community. It protects our elderly parents and grandparents whose immune systems aren't as strong as they used to be. It protects newborns who haven't gotten their shots yet. It protects those of us who work in healthcare environments who desperately want our patients to stay healthy and minimize the risk of spreading one sick kid's disease to another and another and another kid (and that includes our own children, since nothing is 100% effective).
Vaccines save lives. This isn't about "Big Pharma" making money - it actually isn't cost-effective for them to make vaccines when their other products are in so much more demand. The United States government has to force pharmaceutical companies to manufacture them for this country's supply because it's a public health necessity - otherwise, they'd focus on the statins and boner pills that make them so much more money.
This isn't just about you. It isn't just about your family. It's about other people and their children too. Protecting each other by lowering the community risk is the best way to keep everyone safe. Not every family can afford the healthiest foods and the best preventive care and the "naturopathic" "remedies" that some people believe is all they need. Protect your neighbor, protect your child. Vaccinate your kid.

My kids are state required vaccinated...I did however stretch them out, not allowing more than two different kinds at a given time (if it was a combo, then that's the only one they would get)...it required more appointments, but that's what made me feel comfortable.

I have always felt that way about them too. Just wasn't sure which ones I could get away with not getting to baby. The only problem is when they get to school age and the required vaccines for that.
