well i endend up in the hospital all day friday....
contractions got alot worse and found out i was in preterm labor... the shot to stop it didnt help, so they gave to some pill, and it slowed things way down! then i had to get two shots of a steroid to help the babys lungs develop because the i can go into labor anytime now and i was only 31 weeks.
stressing not only is the baby way early, but there is still as chance it is going to be born with hyrdocephalous (fluid on the brain) and the hosptial i planned on having the baby at cant do the necessary procedures (Place a shunt) it would need if born that way, so the baby would have to flown to another hospital while i just sit here!!
and then the doctors just tell u to take it easy and try not to worry cuz stress is hard on the baby.... what the hell, how are u supposed to just not worry??
I've been having BH for about 12 weeks. Lately they have been more frequent and more painful. Sometimes I catch myself holding my breath or grunting. LOL. My midwife told me it;s normal but if I get more than 4 in one hour to call them.
So you are having BH...not real labor pain.
Well, I think you should take it easy, since working hard makes the contractions happen. You see, when I get busy in the house doing chores I get cramps in my lower abdominal area the next day. I guess it's just a sign and our bodies are telling us to take it easy :-) But taking it easy is easier said than done!!!
i got BH pretty often, but im not sure if thats what you are feeling. when i get them my belly gets hard and i get a big lump (i guess where the baby's bum is?) and get a touch light headed during them. there is no pain at all though. if you are getting any pain you may have over done it a bit.
the laying down thing wont happen unless my doctor says i need bedrest... i have to young children and i currently work two jobs, hospital 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and bartender 4 p.m.-1 a.m. not everyday!
You may want to go in and just have them monitored for a while. At 30 weeks I had a week where I was really busy with work, and preparing for my baby shower. I was scrubbing my bathtub one night and had some tightening and pain afterwards. But, honestly it felt like a pulled muscle and wasn't contracting like BH contractions. Two days later it still hadn't gone away and my mom forced me to go to the hospital. I was dialating, and having contractions every 2-3 minutes and didn't know it. Luckily, they were able to stop it and I have had a few episodes since (despite being on meds and bedrest). Never hurts to be safe then sorry. Also, try drinking a bunch of water and laying on your side for an hour that may help to keep them away and trying to keep your bladder empty. Hope they get better soon!
