Pregnancy costs!

I thought this would be fun.  Everyone is always talking about how much it costs to raise a child. No one ever talks about how much it costs during a pregnancy with everything you need for yourself.

Prenatal vitamins
Any other vitamins you take
Added food bill I eat so much more now I'm surprised I'm not as big as a house already,
Maternity clothes
Bras,
Underwear,
Everything I tried for nausea, Preggy pops ginger root pills ginger ale.....

What else has everyone bought to get them through there pregnancies?

I agree being pregnant aint cheap. I didn't realize how much you spend.

I bought 3 belly bands

I bought 7 new shirts today only $50 I went to burlington coat factory and they had a ton of shirts for $6.99.

I need to buy a few more pants my mediums are starting to get tight through the hips. I'm only 19 weeks and thought I would be in mediums a little longer but hips and butt are starting to grow too not just the belly.

Oh yeah they cut my hours at the bar also. The other weekend bartender is due October 8th 4 weeks after me. They hired a guy to cover us when we called in sick she had really bad MS. So they took one shift from both of us and gave to the new guy.

I've tried thrift stores for maternity clothes but I'm not going to wear something that has been washed so many times you can't tell what color it's suppose to be. I have been to about 10 different ones and found maybe three items. I found bra camis at Burlington that were only $3.99 and I bought every size large they had and a few mediums. I usually live in these tanks in the summer.

I was experiencing migraines until about week 16. My midwife wouldn't prescribe anything, just reccomended accupuncture which my insurance would not cover :( They would last for days and always caused vomiting. I ended up going from working full-time to being per-diem because I was calling off so frequently. Thank God they seem to have stopped.

As for pregnancy costs, I keep it low. Thrift store for maternity clothes, Wal-mart for prenatals ($4) Sports bras so I don't have to keep buying bigger sizes. My biggest cost has been cutting my hours at work.

PrettyKitty1 - I had horrible headaches for a few weeks beginning of second trimester. My Dr prescribed me some stronger form of tylenol with caffeine in them. I don't know why he would give me something that has caffeine when were not suppose to take it. I only took them when I was at work and really needed them. Maybe 3 or 4 times.  I haven't had any bad enough to have to take anything the last few weeks.

HeatherLF16 - Oh yeah I have spent so much money on lotion and I'm about to go buy a pregnancy pillow. I started sleeping with one under my knee but I keep ending up on my back.

A couple other added costs I have spent money on is cocoa butter or stretch mark cream, and a pregnancy pillow.  You are right it starts the second you concieve until they are 18+....lol

I have pretty much spent money on all of the above, plus headache medication prescribed by my doctor. I would like to know who else is having horrible pregnancy headaches and what they are doing to ease the pain. I hate taking meds now that I have a little man growing inside of me.
