sorry I hav'nt been on in a few weeks/ Baby update

4 weeks ago (I was 30 weeks) I started contracting a lot and they checked me and my cervics was open, but not yet really dialated. I got checked a week later and I was dialated to 1.5 cm. they want me to come in weekley now and get checked even though I am not 36 weeks yet. I have a history of preterm labor and we don't think this baby will make it all the way to 40 weeks (but you never now). the baby fully droped this past saturday and I have been having atleast 15-20 contractions a day, feeling nausea, my lower back is hurting and last week I found out I have an umbilical hernia (belly button hernia) it is uncomfortable and will contiue to get worse, I am also having more discharge (sorry TMI) I get checked again today and would not be surprised if I was dialated more! I will be 34 weeks tomorrow, so if I can make it atleast one more week, they won't try to stop my labor at 35 weeks! good luck to ll the rest of you out there and hope things are going good for you! my baby feels so low I feel her hiccups in my vagina and feel like I am sitting on her head, I hope this does'nt last 5 more weeeks!

im glad im not the only one... i also have a herniated belly button, its been like that since i had my son and it got worse with my daughter and now its awful!! it hurts so bad!!!

also i went into premature labor but i was 31 weeks, and they gave me drugs to stop it plus the steroid shot to help babys lungs to develp just in case the meds didnt work, and i have been going to the dr once a week since.  but now that i actually could be safe to go into labor i just get teased!!! lil terd dosnt wanna come out.... i get contractions all the time and im extremely uncomfortable, cant sleep, i walk like a dam idiot cuz i feel like im gana pee my pants all the time!!  just cant wait for this to be over!!

I know how you all feel...just think hopefully this time next month we will ALL be holding our bundles of joy...I am 37.3 weeks along, and man these contractions are getting more and more frequent just not too intense...Also I am 3cm dialated, but I am not effacing, his exact words were"your cervix is still pretty thick" lol but the baby is completely engaged...I just wonder how much longer...He did say if I dont have her by the 22nd he would schedule my induction for the next week...so I guess, I can look forward to that..Only a week and a half left

I totally know what you mean about them having to stop or slow down your labor, then when it's time it does'nt seem to be going anywhere! with my third pregnancy I had preterm labor on and off from  5 months on they put me on contraction suppresants and partial bedrest until 36 weeks at that point I was dialated to 3 1/2 cm then once they took me off the meds I just stayed at 3 1/2cm I ended up choosing to be induced at 39 weeks (3 or 4 days before my due date) labor did go pretty quick atleast at that point, but man he wanted to get out for the longest time until it was ok for him to come!

I had preterm labor too and had to have my contractions stopped once a week from 30 weeks on.  I was dialated to a 1cm.  Now I am almost 38 weeks, off bedrest at 36 weeks and I have only gone to a 2cm but I am fully effaced.  So strange all those weeks my body trying to go into labor and now it's suppose to and is not.  You just never know, but if you can make it past 35 everything should be great.  Good luck ... I am sure with it being your 4th you will have an easy delivery =)

thanks for the support! I did get checked today and i am now dialated to 2cm, but thats not that big of a change, so still doing pretty good! the baby is measuring about 2 weeks ahead, at this point in the pregnancy there is no point in going on bedrest or meds, so they told me just keep a close eye on symptoms, since i am already dialated and this is baby #4 for me, she could come really quickly when she decides to come! i will go back in a week unless anything else comes up before then!

Oh wow...I really hope you make it to atleast 35 weeks..Let us know what the dr said..I pray that everything is okay for you

I also have an umbilical hernia which is really hurting.  I'm finally 37 wks and have a scheduled c-section for 8/5.  I don't know how I will make it- the baby is really low as well and I have so much pressure that it is sometimes hard to walk.  I also think this baby is going to be about 9lbs or more.  I have my weekly appt tomorrow, so will see if anything changes.  Baby's heartrate last week was only in 110's and they had to prod her to make it go up, so I've been nervous about that as well.  Hoping the best for you and your little one- I know it's difficult these last few weeks.
