could it be a blighted ovum (urgent replies needed please)

i had a scan last monday and i was measured at being 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant i have now been for a scan today and the sac is only measuring at 6 weeks and 2 days and it still only the gestational sac the sonographer said she will just book me in for my routine scan at 12weeks now and i thought if there was no baby or nothing at 6 weeks it might be a blighted ovum but the sonographer said everything look fine how do i go about talking to a doctor on this forum.

when my doctor did not see a fetla pole, he immediately had me come back the following week.  maybe you should look into another doctor because that does not seem right to me.

they will not do another scan cuz everything fine even though there no yolk sac or fetus just the gestational sac.
my dates may be wrong i really dont no anymore it gettin so confusing

you need to call your doctor asap and have another scan next week.  they never have you wait again til 2 weeks if you do not see a fetal pole.

I would defintely request another scan in one week... it isn't healthy to worry for six more weeks first of all, and it would be good to see the yolk sac or heartbeat before the 12 week scan personally.. the good news is that US can vary +/- 5 days.. so hopefully thats all it is!    i can't imagine that the sono tech would say that everything looked fine if it didn't!! six weeks is really early and many many times not much is seen at that point! also many times people are off on their O dates too!!! see i did not see the scan picture you see she said there was no embryo showing at present she didnt say whether there was a yolk sac present in gestation sac or not they must obviously think it nothing to worry about if they gonna leave it so long

You might want to try posting this on the pregnancy21-34 forum, they might be able to help you better.  I would think they would re-scan in a week or see to see more, but I know sometimes even 6 weeks can be too early to see everything.  Sorry I couldn't be of much more help.  I would contact the doctor to see why they aren't checking again.
