Thanks so much! Actually you kind of did answer my question. Maybe the reason I've never known what hcg levels meant, or they've never tested me, is because I didn't have signs of a miscarriage SO FAR! I just hope this pregnancy comes to term. We are so excited for the twins! But also scared to get too attached this early on! But how can you not get attached, right?
Doubly congrats. Well done you. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats gunna be so cute. Two of them. yay. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sorry i cant answer your hcg question coz in the UK they only test them if they think ur havin a m/c.
Anyways well donw Nov ROCKS!!!!!
rockyg, thanks for responding. Just still wondering, why do they tell you your HCG levels? Cari 227, welcome, and congrats!

Hi everyone, I was hoping to join your community. I'm 4 weeks and my due date is sometime between 11-25-09 and 11-27-09.
No need to worry yourself if it wasn't brought up. HCG is a hormone which triggers your body to get into pregnancy mode (which is why we have 'symptoms'). If you had a HPT or blood test, the HCG levels confirmed your pregnancy. Congrats on the babies and I wish you the very best!
I feel so silly in answering your question, because everyone talks about HCG levels, and I don't know what that means. Is that just ridiculous on my part? Should my doctor have talked to me about this? What is an HCG level? I know that the pregnancy test tests for the concentration of HCG to determine if you're pregnant, but should I know what my level is? I thought it was some kind of protein that's in your system in a higher concentration when you're pregnant, but I just don't know. I'm so sorry to answer your question with more questions! Why don't I know these things? I've already been pregnant with my daughter, and even then noone discussed my HCG level. Should they be testing that? I know they took some blood tests, is that a part of that? Again, sorry to answer a question with questions!
Thanks so much! I am fearing that I'll have twice the morning sickness, at least I've heard that can happen!
a DOUBLE Congrats to you! I've always wanted twins. Were your HCG levels unusually high after the first blood tests? The reason I ask is that we also do not have a history of twins in our gene pool, but want them too. My HCG betas are average (thanks to God), but hopefully that won't stop us from having twins!
YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!!!!! That's GREAT news! You take care of yourself and prepare for twice as much of everything lol!
Thanks! I am just still so amazed!
CONGRATS! on the twins- thats so exciting!
Thanks so much! I'm just in such complete shock still! I keep thinking about all the new details this adds to the picture. I was thinking we had everything we needed from our daughter, but looks like we have a good excuse to go shopping again!
YEAAAA so so excited for you! what happy, great news!! : ) CONGRATS! : ) yes once you see the heartbeat your miscarriage risk goes down to 3-5% : )
