a little worried about doing too much.

Ok, I 'm about 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant and last night after work I starting cooking and doing house cleaning. Well, after vacuuming a room and a half I starting feeling very tired and achy. I did have some cramping, but not too bad. I have fertility issues, so the dr., told me not to vacuum and do not lift anything over 15 poundss. I do have other restictions, but as you can see I didn't listen very well. I am concerned that maybe I affected something in my body by doing too much. My utrasound is tomorrow and I am too worried right now. Has anyone else felt this way after doing too much during the beginning of their pregnncy?

uggh, I hate it when doctors do not explain themselves! That's a horrible thing to say and leave you wondering. I think I would be calling back to make her explain so you can rest better!

Well, I went to the U/S appointment yesterday and the dr. insisted that she be present. I asked her before the U/S if everything was alright and she said that how my numbers are going up they are pretty sure I am having multiples. Well, they check and there was just one sac that they could see. She she said this is irregular. I asked her what the sac and she said that looked fine. Then she left and I ask the U/S tech what she meant by that and she said she properly mean't that because your numbers were more than doubleing that they were sure there was more than one. Who says irregular at an u/s. I get my next one at 6 weeks and once again I am stressed because she said that. The first trimester is going very slow and I'm at the beginning of it.

Hello! Good luck tomorrow! i hope all goes well!!!! : )   yea i have a very stressful job on my feet, and after everything its taken to get here, i just tell everyone they have to wait, i'm gonna be slow for a while.. i get people to help me do any heavy lifting as well!  I'm sure your hubby would be glad to help vacuum for ya too!!! : )   its worth it, that or the house can just be a little messier for a few weeks!  I doubt you did anything to hurt the pregnancy though, so i wouldn't worry about that, but just take it easy from here on out!!! let us know how it goes tomoorrow, your in my prayers!!

if it's at all possible, take a rest and reenergize your body. After work or any other time.
I'm sure you'll be okay. Just take it easy for a bit and let us know what happens tomorrow :)

Sorry that you're stressed, hopefully it's just your body telling you to slow down!! I am an ultimate go getter so I understand that it's hard to follow restrictions but you can let a few things go while you make sure this baby gets planted firmly.. It sounds like you stopped once you started feeling bad so I think your body was just warning you that hey you're over doing it. Try not to worry to much.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow! Follow your restrictions the best you can. It's just not worth the risk and then the worry and guilt that you'll feel for not listening...

I get pain, pressure, back ache and leg aches when I'm on my feet too much. It usually settles down with rest.
