birthing classes

How many of you are going to do a birthing class? those of you that have done them in the past, are they worth the time? I hear they are like 5 hours long every saturday for several saturday's.. and i feel like people tell me that everything they tell you flies out the window when you are in the situation..If i was going to try to go all natural then i'd defintely want to go to them.. But due to other issues they want us to get the epidural earlier on in the process.. so not sure if the classes apply if you have an epidural for induction?  what do yall think? we are for sure going to go to the how to care for a baby classes though!

Hubby and I start ours next tuesday. I would recommend it. everyone I talk to says it helps and they don't just talk about what to do in labour but they go through every aspect of it. like if there were complications what your options would be, its also helpful for your husband because it helps them to understand what to do and gives them confidence. also they go over what happens after the baby is born, and breastfeeding. I'm excited for ours cause it would be sweet to meet other couples who are due around our time.

Hey How are you feeling? hope all is well with u and your bundle of joy.... I never went to the classes but I have heard some good and some unuseful information about them. They can teach you alot of things esp. if its your first baby. and if its your 2nd then alot of people said it wasnt worth their money or time since its just about the same as with the 1st baby class they ever took.... go with your gut feeling if you think it will help you out and you can learn from the experence go for it. :0)  it couldnt hurt.. and im sure either way your going to be a Great Mommy... I am wanting to go natural no epidural this time. since with dd i got it and my back hurted from when she was about 1 week til about 3 months and it still hurts when i move the wrong way or move to turn to fast.... but I am scared :0( lol so i am still looking into the epidural or natural situations of many many people.
