Dont put yourself through it. I have two girls this is my third I tried it with both of the other two and swore I wouldn't do it this time. It just gives you horrible cramps and explosive bowel movements. You will be up all night with no baby and awful pains.
This is my 3rd pregnancy and I also tried Castrol oil with my first two, and it worked. Yes it does give you explosive bowel movements as mentioned in another reply, but I guess it just varies by person. I did read there are risks by doing this, but at the time there was a bigger risk for me if I didn't do it.
Castor oil won't work unless labor is already brewing. You will have terrible bowel cramps on top of contractions. You'll exhaust your self and won't have energy for labor.
It does work ive had five kids and always induced with castrol oil good luck
I'm high risk and trying to stop preterm labour. One of the things the hospital told me to avoid is constipation also laxetives as the bowel is so close to the uterus it can trigger contractions. So if you feel you must start labour and diarrhea is the way to go it doesn't just have to be castor oil, cod liver oil is another laxetive, and I'm sure there's plenty of others at the drug store. Personally I having gone through 3 episoses of preterm labour I'm happy to follow my drs advice but each to their own.
I did it and it was the worst experience ever. I was up all night with diarrhea and contractions. Tired dehydrated hungry. Then I went in for 12 hours of labor. Please don't!
Oh my god, don't do try to induce, your baby isn't here yet because they are not ready to be.
If your baby isnt ready don't force him, his brain is developing up until 40 weeks
