first day back to work after surgery!
I am feeling pretty good post surgery wise...but I think I have the flu now. I have been getting a lot of aches and pains and I am so cold! I just feel horrible, my nose is running and my tonsils are getting sore. Maybe I shouldn't have come back to work so quickly. I am about to start my period so I am having cramps and stomach aches on top of everything and I don't even know when I can use tampons again. I really hate to call my doctor because they have it set up to where you actual call a nurses line and leave a message so they can ask the doctor and call you back. Takes up to two hours and theyre closed two hours from 12-2 everyday for lunch! I was wondering when I can have sex again too...lol my boyfriends been asking me a few times and it was his birthday yesterday and I feel bad that I couldn't give him at least that present ya know? lol I just feel so gosh darn horrible physically today..I just wanna crawl into bed. I am running on 3 hours of sleep as it is and am freezing my tushy off! Maybe I should call my doctor anyways....maybe they can shed some light! Anyways just wanted to update everyone...Not the best news but hey I am still alive!
It was actually a laparotomy with an open incision....seems like a mini c section. They cut me open about 4 inches below my belly button, about 3.5 inches in length and pulled out my right ovary. They cut the dermoid out of the ovary, sewed it back up and put it in a little disolvable bag to help with scar tissue and taped and glued me back up. I just took off the last two pieced of tape yesterday and honestly my incision looks great. I can tell I will have a scar but it looks nice and clean..I am over all pretty happy about the surgery!
Hey, remind me what the surgery was? I'm assuming a laproscopy or something? Congrats on NO CANCER!!! An old highschool classmate of mine just found cancer on her right ovary. She's my age (23) and she's pregnant. Very scary! I'm glad you don't have to go through that!!!
Well I know sex shouldn't be a worry...but I miss the intimacy! I am feeling much better today. GOOD NEWS TOO! I am happy to report that I can now resume using tampons and having sex lol...I took a bath for the first time in like 3 weeks last night...very nice! I am so happy that I will be able to go swimming when my cousin has her birthday party on saturday...its at my house!
But above all! Pathalogy came back normal! :-D I do not have cancer and I am very very healthy! YAY!! Thanks everyone!
