How far along do you have to be in order for the HPT to detect it?

How far along do you have to be in order for the HPT to detect it? Also How much longer should i wait, im already a week late?

well i took a pregnancy test and it came out negative and it was like a week before my period and like 2 days later i took another one and it came out positive
i wasnt so sure if it was a defected test or not so i waited till the next morning and took another also came out positive i am now 18 weeks
so yea mine came out before i was even due for my period so you should be good
to take one especially since most pregnancy test say able to detect pregnancy a week before a missed period or ect.

I actually got a postive on the HPT 1 day before my period. It was a faint plus but it was there lol. Now when I did the test 4 days before my period it was negitive.

Just so you know. I did not get a positive test until a week and a half to 2weeks after i missed my period. The doctors say I ovulated really late, the funny part is i had regular periods before i got pregnant, so i dont understand how i just never showed up pregnant till about 2 weeks later. just thought I would let you know my story. I am happilee 8 weeks now!

About 2 weeks after conception which is when your period should be due. Since you're late you can take a test. I recommend First Response.

i think it would be safe to take hpt some are more sensitive than others but if you are a week late i think you would prolly be safe with any test good luck i hope you get the result you want
