I'm doing the lady bug thing......We've already nicknamed our little princess Lady Bug, from day one. Pinks and brown are the colors....
hi - in our lil boys room who's busy still growin in my tum weve got a cream nursery with a bright aqua blue feature (window) wall. we are using a antique theme with teddy bears and we'l also have glowing stars everywhere. my husband is covering the entire roof and then cascading down with all different sized stars, moons and other glow in the dark bits
that match. were having a light that hangs down in the centre of the room thatl be nice too. my mum saved my old antique looking jarrah high chair and my old dolls pram so Im going to be using those to display babies teddys randomly somewhere in the room. I also have an old antique teddy who stands about 90cms tall and he'l be used as a door stop. Weve gone with all jarrah (or jarrah look) furniture too so it helps with the antique look. Weve gone with a lemon, lime and baby checked linen set that has little stars on it. We brought the matching lamp, star throw cushions etc that go with it. Ive actually brought alot of my deco's and stuff of ebay and it was quite cheap.
hope u get some idea or maybe some inspiration from some of the posts here!
all the best xoxox
I would have done precious moments like with my last two but since the house i'm in doesn't actually have a "nursery" the baby will be sharing with my youngest two. SOO right now I'm decorating in what I refer to as "Early American Poverty" LOL
I really want the new Fisher-Price Butterfly Garden Papasan Cradle Swing anyone have it?I love that you dont need batteries. Here is the link.

We have done a jungle themed room with two walls bright green and two walls bright yellow. we have a boarder with zebra's, giraffes, lions, tigers ect. as well as animal stickers on the walls.
i think green and pink sound nice together
So the crib and changing table have green and Pooh on them as well? Or are they just solid colors?
With crib sheets/skirts I bought plain colors instead of designs or characters so that they'd last longer and fit with more decor. Those Crib Sets that are $100 or more aren't worth it because you can't use the pillow, crib bumper, OR the quilt. All you need are sheets and a crib skirt in that respect. You probably already know all this!
Anyway, thank you. I was thinking for months now to put my two girls in one room and paint it pink with black and a white chair rail. Make it very "shabby chic". We're TTC so they'll have to share eventually! When they're older they can move to our finished third story, but we have to put new windows in and AC up there.
joy- hey I like the way you did your daughters rooms.. yea the bassinet will be in our room but since its a set with the changing table and the crib ... its all the same you know what I mean? its got the pooh characters and its green and around teh edges it has teh blue/white gingham (sp?)
Okay I'm going to post a few pics anyway! LOL! So go check them out!
Pink and green with a butterfly/ladybug/dragonfly accessories sounds really cute!
I actually used all the colors in my first daughter's nursery. Her walls are bright caribbean blue and one wall a lime green. She has pink, purple, blues, greens... and it looks amazing. I can take a pic and post it if you want?! Her furniture was white.
What color is the crib/bassinet? I thought a bassinet was intended to use in your room? If the crib is white I can see why you might think it will clash with the brown and pink. Instead of brown you could do black (paint the walls pink and use black-n-pink accessories).
I have a TON of ideas.
My other daughter's room is pale blue and pale yellow with a celestial (stars and moon) and angel theme. I can show you a pic of her room, too, if you want.
that sounds beautiful! my girls' room is done in ladybugs :) its been an obsession of mine since i can remember. ladybug everything. i even call them ladybugs! so mine wasnt that original but i think those colors will go together perfect!
I love Pink and Green together. That is how we are doing our lil girl's room. Good luck!!!
honestly, I dont think green would match as well as some other colors. I'm trying to picture it in my head... chocolate and pink sounds wonderful. maybe try a pastel yellow or darker shade of pink like maroon?
I haven't touched my nursery yet.. My boyfriend has been too busy to help me. And I've been so tired lately. The bassinette is still in a box.. :( maybe tonight I'll pester him about it!
