late pregnancy sex

I'm 31 weeks pregnant, I'm about 5'4" and I started this pregnancy at 104 lbs. I'm now around 131. So 27 not horrible...but it's all in my stomach and it's HORRIBLE! My body isn't made to take this much extra weight I have a very small frame, so I get swelling, not only in my feet but also in my crotch (yay!). I get backaches, restless legs, too much pressure to walk, I look exhausted, my newly huge (well huge to me haha 34 Cs) looked great until my stomach took them over, and of course they look like a road map. So I am uncomfortable, I am normally (at least I feel and hear) very attractive...not now, and I don't think my husband wants me!

He says he does, he says I'm beautiful, but I'm starting to feel the horny hormones kick in and I feel like he'd rather look at pictures of naked non-pregnant women when I'm not around. I don't want him to say "yes Jessica, I'm grossed out now" but I feel like he pretends not to be. I don't remember it being like this with our first! I just feel so blah and that doesn't help. Maybe I shouldn't have married such an attractive man lol.

Sorry for ranting, wondering if anyone else is dealing with this! Cause it *****!!

Lol @ grandmatobe...I don't want to think that when I'm not pregnant though! I'm tiny. Haha. I know my husband loves me however I look. It's just hard to feel good when you have an almost 30 lbs stomach and the rest of your body can hardly carry it around!

Believe it or not, many men like to LOOK at skinny women, but they like to touch women who have some meat on their bones.  Us women can't get that through our heads though.

Neither can I, and sorry for the tmi again, DH said to me one morning, 'I'm sorry that wasn't as good for you as it was for me, but it's hard not no want more of you each time when you feel so soft and so good and as crazy as it may sound, you do look good...Seriously'

I couldn't help rolling my eyes and I went.. 'That's so cheesy!!' But I'm glad he's not freaked out by me being so huge!! This being our first baby together.

Oh the sex!!! I am on bed rest and pelvic rest meaning no sex or orgasm and my husband is NOT a happy camper! I feel so bad but it really isn't that fun for me to be dishing out the **'s (TMI) and not getting anything in return. This is really difficult on our relationship especially with my other pregnancies being uncomplicated because he is soooo turned on by me when I'm pregnant even though I really can't understand why. I mean, what's so attractive about a big ***, big belly and cellulite EVERYWHERE?!!!!
Let's all endure together.  I'm only 21 1/2 wks so we've got a long road ahead!

Yeah I know that's common but I don't think that's it! This is my second pregnancy. We had sex until the very end with the first, he knows it won't affect the baby! I wish it was that though! I'd probably feel a lot better about myself!

I am not pregnant anymore my son is 2 months old, but I felt the exact same way as you and actually posted a journal about it on my profile if you would like to read it. My husband was actually just weirded out that the baby was right there.  This is probably TMI, but he told me that he felt like if we had sex him and the baby would be bumping heads...lol... like he would be poking the baby. We rarely had sex in the third trimester.  I was really worried it would affect us post baby too.  But, the second the baby was here I couldn't keep him off of me.  I had to fight him off with a stick for my 6 weeks post baby,and things are just as they were prior to pregnancy.  I am sure your hubby thinks you are beautiful, but it weirds a lot of men out it's very common.  =)

Thanks, glad to know I'm not the only one! I didn't want to have sex for a long time during this pregnancy, but now I really do. I just can't wait until the end. Maybe I should try doing something new with my hair. That might actually help!

At almost 36 weeks, I look like a whale!! And I'm tall. 5'11. And 129kg!! I look like a giant with a giant pot belly!! My DH is 5'10 but he looks a lot smaller. It's hard for us to be intimate, well, esp. for me. He doesn't mind, he's always showing me off, but I get really really embarrassed! Because my usually caramel complextion is now dark like chocolate! And my nose, don't get me started on that one!  I'm glad my legs and hands are not swollen though, and DH tries to get me in bed every other night! He says it feels different and he really enjoys it (sorry for tmi) I enjoy it too, but I feel unattractive, so most times I he has to make the first move! He made a comment "I can't wait to get my wife back" and I threw a fit! He meant it in a good way, but I just didn't see the good in that.

Sorry for venting.. I really pray for strength in these remaining few weeks..

I am also 30+ weeks. For me it is getting easier to accept my body then in the second trimester. My hubby constantly tells me I am beautiful but when you just feel fat it doesnt seem to make that much difference. This is our third child and it seems I just went off sex altogeather for a little while. I went and had my hair done and a wax and what do you know, even with the stretch marks and a bump the size of a small country I actually feel attractive again. In a very womanly sensual kind of way. Believe it or not some men find thier wives sexy when they are pregnant. They are proud of what you are doing and what you created togeather. Ask me how I feel after 6weeks postpardum and I will probably never want to have sex again but hey, I am going to enjoy it while I can.

I'm right there with you!!!  I look in the mirror and I'm like omg ewww. Im 22 weeks and gained 8 pounds total and my boobs went from 32B to 38C with the roadmap and all. My husband says I'm beautiful but I just don't know how he could think that. I also think I used to be pretty from what I would hear (blond hair, blue eyes, tan skin, 5'6" and a size 6) and people tell me that I still look pretty but I swear they are lying.

My OB said compression socks can help with swelling even the vaginal area swelling. I havent been swollen yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. We just have to remember this is temporary  and we will be back to our sexy selves in a few months and it will have been worth it in the end :)
