If he doesn't have oral herpes, then you receiving oral sex is not a risk.
Herpes is site specific, meaning you are only infectious from the site you are infected.
Its also pretty safe for you to perform oral on him. Oral hsv2 is considered rare.

Thank you for the answer. In our case , is it safe for me to receive receive oral sex from him? He doest have cold sores.
thanks
Hi there -
The chances of you getting hsv2 from him if all you do is avoid sex during an outbreak, are about 8-10% per year. If he takes daily suppressive therapy, such as daily valtrex or acyclovir, it cuts it down to about 4-5%.
Condoms only bring it down to about 2-3%, which isn't a statistical significance.
The only danger with pregnancy (if you were wondering) is if you were to be infected druing your third trimester, or if you had an outbreak at delivery, and you would have a c-section done if that were the case.

He has Genital herpes , hsv2 , with outbreaks now.
