red marks

So, around my public hair line (top and inner thighs) I notice red marks from time to time.  They don't come to a head or ooze or break out, it's more just like red splotchy marks mostly.  They don't hurt, but I am concerned!  I haven't had sex in 9 or 10 months, but was diagnosed with HPV about a year ago.  I am having the laser procedure done soon and don't think this has anything to do with the HPV, but ever since the diagnosis I have been absolutely paranoid about everything - a random mark, a quick pain near my public hair area, whether my pubic hair was pulled or whatever.  I was tested for ghonorea and chlamydia and both tests came back negative.  Is this a fungus infection, or am I just over-reacting and acting paranoid?  I realize the pelvic area is moist, constantly being rubbed by clothing, etc.

It could be anything - a fungal thing, irritation from your underwear, just irritated skin, etc.

You are right, though, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with hpv.

I also forgot to mention that the red marks go away after a day or two.
