Hi fahadali2008, how are you? Hi CharmieB, thanks for having shared your thoughts. I do agree with you of suggesting trying Melatonin as it is available over the counter and not much of side effects of the drug are been reported as well. It can also be of some help to those who are exhausted of trying too many medications and now want to give them up. Anyway it is always better to consult a doctor before you go on self-medication. Hello! Maybe you should check into melatonin. It is naturally produced by your body when you sleep. I take 2 tablets at night if I can't fall asleep and it does the trick for me. I believe it is non-habit forming, all natural. I found it at the grocery store, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, anywhere there is a pharmacy or vitamins.
Good luck, I hopes this helps!
Hi fahadali2008, how are you doing? Hope you might have been benefited a bit from the information given and you might have tried to consult the sleep specialist or some form of treatment to get good sleep. Still i would like to suggest you to get consulted by a sleep specialist and get a sleep study to know the cause and try treating it at first. Have you tried melatonin? Do follow the healthy sleep tips earlier discussed and update your progress. Take care.
Have you had a sleep study to determine if there's a reason you're not sleeping well? Lifestyles and stress and poor sleep hygiene can cause sleep porblems, but sometimes years of trying different things to sleep prolongs the diagnosis of a sleep disorder. Read up on some of the more common sleep disorders (sleep apnea, perodic limb movments) to see if you are symptomatic. If not, some report a small dose of melatonin helps them get drowsy enough to sleep.
Hi fahadali2008, how are you and hope you are feeling better now. Since when are you taking the lexotinal for sleep and is your doctor regularly followed you up? I agree you might have got used to the medication and now want to do without it for whatever reason so. I would like to suggest you to get a recheck and sleep study done to assess your present condition and discuss the issue of reducing dose or switching over to other drug with your doctor and not to stop it abruptly. Try to be physically active and have daytime nap. Gentle massage and warm bath prior to sleep will help. Avoid smoking, excessive coffee/tea and alcohol. Melatonin is advised for natural cure but not much supporting. Share your thoughts and update on progress. Take care.
