I just want to sleep.

I have always had issues falling asleep.Even back as a child. I have cut caffeine out of my diet.I have seen a sleep Doctor. He says its all in my head.I set a bed Time and stick with it even on the weekends.I can even take a sleeping pill and not sleep. It seems the only time I do sleep is because I am so damn tired from not sleeping from the night before. Is there anybody out there with this problem.I would love to chat with you.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Its sometimes the way we look at sleep. It is perceived as a task to be completed. Like in hunger, we crave for and enjoy appetizing food. Sleep too should be liked and surroundings should be made ‘appetizing’. Keep the atmosphere cozy and dark and look forward to simply slipping into sleep.  Always make the bedroom environment very cool, dark and cozy like a cave, because bats are super snoozers and they sleep in caves.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I'm an old man & have a life long inability to sleep as well as I'd like to. But I'm still here! I'm on meds. for life, I doubt that they are effective after  years on them, but am not a concerned about how much I fail to sleep. Perhaps you have some underlying concern that you have failed to address? Good Luck.
