My cousin amber has this exact same problem. She throws up for at least 2 days straight and the rest for her are so painful she cant even stand up (i stayed a few weeks with her during the summer)

i felt so bad for her because when i get my period i only get a bad backache and an erge for licorice ...hehe

your normal but you might want to see a doctor about the throwing up part like my cousin did...you may be able to take a med called...finnigrin.... phennogren
something like that

i hope i help you a bit

Yeah, all girls go through their periods different ways. Most likely, this will get better as you age. But if it is uncomfortable, consider a medication.

Best of Luck.

Here is something that has worked wonders for my 17 year old daughter.  I talked with a nutritionist and she now takes two Citracal (Calcium citrate Plus vitamin d and mineral supplement with magnesium) and 1 additional Magnesium tablet (250  mg) per day.  If you are diligent and take this EVERY SINGLE DAY you will feel somewhat better.  After a month on it my daughter noticed a huge difference in her period. Before she was taking 3 Advil every few hours for at least 4 days for horrible cramps and pain. She's been on this regiment now for about 4 months and last month she took NO Advil.  It's just 3 vitamins a day....totally worth it for her.  You could at least give it a shot if you don't want to go the birth control pill route just yet.

Someways to prevent/reduce dysmenorrhea (painful period):
> decrease salt intake a week before your period
> do regular exercise, engage yourself in some sport (badminton, dancing, etc..)
> when already in pain, place a hot water bag (with hot water) wrapped in a small towel and place it over the painful area.
> if pain is unbearable, take ibuprofen or any prostaglandin inhibitor (make sure you are not allergic to the drug)
> And also see an OB-gyne to assess your condition and for furthur examination and intervention.

see your doctor about taking the combined oral contraceptive pill. This is not just prescribed for birth control. It will also make periods lighter, more regular and less painful.

I get serious period pain too. It feels like someone's constantly taking a hammer to my insides. They last for hours at a time, on my first day and sometimes third. When it's happening I get serious pain in my legs and don't feel comfortable walking. So yes, What could this mean
